Just a reminder that you cannot immediately sell your unlisted share once it gets listed since there's a lock in period for about 6 months best way to exit the share is probably to sell it during its pre ipo process since during that time the gray market gets hot and share starts rising before its listing

When any company announces an ipo, its shares circulating in unlisted market are adjusted to the premium it may receive post listing. This is because in case of heavy oversubscription, the allotment is difficult and unlisted shares could be purchased. However you have to continue to hold any unlisted shares purchased prior to listing for the next 6 months from the date of listing as it goes into lock-in

1. Yes, they will get dividends if the company decides to share profits (NSE) 2. No shares will be allotted share holders during IPO unless there is bonus issue of shares. 3. it depends mostly on the time of buying. Ex. Paytm investors who bought few weeks before IPO were lost money. Hope I cleared your doubts.

You find a buyer on your own and the company approves transfer of shares. 2. You sell your holding at the time of IPO. 3. If you don't sell at the time of IPO, then there is 6 months lock-in period. In that much time it maybe possible the stock price becomes half of what you bought at.
