Alright, so I got into Tarkov and man... it's been a rough week so far. A good 50 raids in, I think I survived 5 or 6. I just can't seem to avoid getting one-tapped from out of nowhere, and I realized that I never get into PVP fights at all so when I'm forced to do so (contact too close) my aim is garbage. Bringing good gear could definitely save my life, but not when I don't see or hear targets at all no matter how much I try, which ends up with me just bringing a pistol and Ratting it out. Also makes PMC kill tasks incredibly tough.

During first 50 raids I survived about 5 as well. I killed my first PMC after about 30h in-raid and only because he didn't notice me behind the rock. He was level 30+ fat geared, with sniper rifle and M4 and I shot his face with my poor-ass mozin. I died 10 minutes later but I killed 8 skavs in this raid. Now I am level 13 and I still hide in shadows, kill other only when pushed, not starting a gunfight when unnecessary.

First 50 raids are always rough, I don't think I survived any of my first 50 PMC runs. I'm worth 100+mil now and regularly wipe 2 and 3 man squads. As a 5+ year [EFT] player, I really enjoyed this video. You helped reinforce a lot of crucial basics that I had forgotten or neglected, and those basics are what separate “good”/successful players from players that feel like it’s a constant struggle without ever feeling like they’ve grown and improved. Also, explaining your movement/tactics was really important. It’ll take a while for new players to apply that knowledge instinctively, but just hearing the info a single time will plant the seed, and have a huge impact on their gameplay eventually. You have a great mindset when it comes to this game and your tactical awareness is superb! Learned a lot and will stick around for more. I would be honoured if you could relay your training in a more live fashion with hands on runs, but I also understand having a noob tagging along totally changes the cadence of a raid. Anyway, keep up these great vids! They are much more valuable to me than many other short tutorials which only highlight the ‘best situation’ events.

this is rather nice for me as a recent new player. Its my first game where i run mouse and keyboard as well just adjusting to knowing keybinds and being able to make fast transitions between normal stuff like proning fast enough or leaning has been rough. The map knowledge has been killing me

@@JustSkram For a KZbin video you dont need and most people wouldnt want to have a facecam cover some of the footage but since this seems to have been a stream recording there is no reason to say what you did. He did a good job recording it without but since it was a stream facecam would be normal.. Facecams have a purpose that is connecting with your viewers better.. sharing emotions... they are something social. Facecams are indeed not unesessary. that is just your opinion. For most people they help to connect with the streamer better. Not everybody should use one or could use one to connect better with his/her viewers but for most people it works. Those few that do reaction videos or jsut have the cam to show themselves overreacting or just reacting in general but dont use it to communicate.. those are the ones that shouldnt use one. Dont get me wrong i am jot traing to offend you or anything but just trying to help you understand the situation better so you can think different maybe about your words for the comment :D Guess everybody would appreciate that

All in all 10/10 on every metric. Amazing gameplay with excellent commentary that carries tons of educational value (your talent is seriously well-rounded!). As a beginner's guide this may just be enough to beat out Pestily's "Raid Series" since although Pest is a legend I think he overly-focuses on quests. I've watched all 40~ videos from that series and this one, on day one, is already teaching me tons that Pestily didn't. Subscribed and excited for epicsode 2! Was looking for Ryzen overclocking guides and discovered a gem channel! Although one question: Why didn't you take Shturman's mags? Pretty sure those 7n39 mags are worth more than at least some of the stuff in your slots...

Yep, to anyone who's reading comments to learn more. PACA aka Primitive Assault Cardboard Armor, barely stops pistol rounds. What saved him was his movement, and the fact Vepr AKM is semi auto and have astonishingly bad gun handling.

6:15 if anyone noticed, you actually see the laser guy before that, he was in the bathroom after he(the youtuber/streamer) runs into the building, I was surprised he wasn't peaked upon rustling through the devil wire. Such a great video wonderful effort put into this. So I just started playing recently and I had the same experience everyone did where I felt like I was never going to get better. I had no understanding of what I was supposed to do. Every raid felt impossible and I could barely hope to kill even scav let alone a pmc. The key is literally to just keep trying over and over. It WILL be frustrating but if you can learn from your mistakes you will find yourself getting the hang of it all of a sudden. That's really how it happens to you just realize in some moment that you aren't terrified to run into any form of conflict. You are moving around the map looting and playing with confidence. Do your trader tasks and learn the maps. The rest will come naturally.

You can find them any place that you would find a TECH item. Shelves in techlight, texho, rasmussen. Or powerstation office on interchange is nice. Filing cabinets on all maps can spawn them. Or in tech supply crates of course but those are harder to find without the proper Reserve keys. Good luck!
