just a tip if you use a usbc cable to lightning it wont work you have to use a third party usbc to lightning cable or a usba to lightning cable. I was very annoyed when i tried for about 2 hours to get the timing perfect from clicking start and then realised that you need a different cable lol

what you can do is image linux to a usb, (i prefer ubuntu) and run it as a live instance. this is supported w/ linux but takes a bit more work.

Likely it has not been tested by the particular ios you are on. If you go to the options screen and check the Allow untested versions box, it should let you start the process at your own risk

i accidentally found a fix for this. I made it enter DFU mode myself (without the help of checkra1n) and then then rebooted my phone. resrtarted checkra1n and it worked like a charm ;)

i found a fix for Error -20. I made my iPhone 8 Plus enter DFU mode myself (without the help of checkra1n) and then rebooted my phone. restarted checkra1n and it worked like a charm ;) not sure if this can be recreated but worth a shot.

Don’t update unless the version you are updating to is supported by jailbreak. If you update software without there being w compatible jailbreak, you will lose the jailbreak !

Yes it should work what you should do is tap on start hold the power button and home button count 4 seconds and then let go of the power button but keep holding the home button for 10 more seconds and your Mac will say device entered dfu mode successfully. And then it should go to the next step.

next download rufus on your pc if you dont already have it installed to do this search rufus on your browser and tap on the first link and go to where the big download button is go under it tap on the version the says 3.13 and it will start downloading
