I have spliced fences this way. It works, but I’m in the middle of a fencing project on my homestead now and I made a splicing tool out of a small pair of bolt cutters. It works great. Thanks for posting this. Tim @ Hidden Meadow Farm-Central Mississippi

Thank you, I snapped a bottom wire on my goat fence this evening (too much tension when fitting wire to end post) and used the method you showed to repair it

You sure make putting up fencing look easy. I struggle with fencing, any and all kind of fence. Chicken wire, (the devil) hardware cloth, chain link and field fence; they all whoop my butt. Every dang time! Absolutely my least favorite job to do on the homestead. I learn so many useful homesteading skills from y'all ❤ As always, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

I use a 3 Hole High Tensile Wire Twisting Tool from Tractor Supply. It is a $4 tool that I firmly believe is a Godsend when it comes to working with fencing.

Great job! If I dont have the right tool, I go get it. It usually takes me way longer to get the job done. I dont have your level of know-how. Good Morning to you both.

Cool It is always a nice surprise to learn a new way to do something. Where you kept the wires running straight I have always bent them back and twisted around forming interlocking loops, but your way I think would be less noticeable from a distance

Great job, it amazes me that you do such a high level of work on everything you do, very high quality. I have to wonder if your desire for near perfection is the reason why it will cost you $6000 to make a pond??? I made a fish pond about 25 years ago and it only cost me about $350, it's still being used to this day.

That fence isn't coming apart any time soon, that's for sure! Danny, if you're having that much difficulty twisting that wire, I don't know if this is something that I could do myself. You spoke of a tool designed for the job, could you show it sometime? Would the tool give enough of a mechanical advantage that I would be able to do this job?

Great video, and some great fence building there. I hope this works to keep the dogs and the deer out. It's been almost 4 months since Christmas. People who got puppies will be getting tired of them, so it's about time for them to start dumping them out here away from town. I hate it, because they dump them out here then we have to take care of them to keep them from killing our livestock.

Danny, it may be my eyes but it looked like one of your wires wasn't completely twisted, sticking out just a tad. I would hate not to say something because I didn't want to appear stupid and then have someone needing stitches later on.
