I am working a blanket from an inspirational picture for a friend but they have 4 stitches in the place where there normally is 3. So how would I work it it's 6 rows with a cream joining row and 5 colours in the middle. Also the joins are similar to what you show here but I'm worried as it's for a California King size blanket that I'm making and it's all acrylic yarn as that's all we could get for the project it's great quality yarn but I want to make sure it won't fall apart on my friend. And so they can actually wash it without issues. Any advice on best way to join the finished squares? And would you suggest a extra round after it's put together for strength?

I'd say Join As You Go is a pretty strong join and acrylic yarn is a great choice if you want something that will last. The most important thing to stop a project coming apart is to secure your ends really really well. If needed use a knot and sharp needle to weave them in back and forth the same area. This slip stitch kind of join can be adapted to lots of patterns so I'd recommend giving it a go with your squares and seeing if you like the look if it.

Please can you tell where to find a video tutorial of a pattern at Ravelry

The video is only available if the designer has chosen to film one. For my patterns the links to the videos can be found within the downloadable pdf but other designers may do things differently.
