Simgrid have changed the temperatures of the races to 23 degrees from 17, so aim to practice in the offline sessions at 23 degrees. Also 3pm Time of day!

The day I tried Acc around 6 months ago I've never played gt7 apart from once to see the ffb difference on my new wheel and switched it off after 1 lap lol, for pure racing acc is much better with better physics and ffb. Only thing I would be cautious about is playing acc on a controller, virtually impossible.

Great video. Slight problem is that if you are coming over from GT7 and are anything lower that A-rated, you are going to spend your races watching all the superstars with their perfect setups vanish in to the distance

Not really. I did think that way, especially playing my first good sim like acc. I'm just an average driver who can only play a few hours a week I just get my set up from you tube and they make the cars quite competitive. Plus with lfm and now simgrid u get put with similar racer to yourself and can have some really good races.

I'm an A+ driver on gt7 and I played Acc for the 1st time after watching Rory Alexander and I personally think Acc is better. The physics are so much better, like gt7 though you have to get your Dr and Sr up to have fair competitive racing, it's way worse than gt7 when comes to rammers. Graphics aren't so good either but in terms of realism Acc all day long

Would love to hear more about how competitive you are and how transferable you feel your skills are? I’m also A+ (controller tho) and have been wondering about what the switch would be like (once I buy and get used to a wheel)? I’m no alien but I prob place top-5 in 80-90% of A+/A lobbies. Are there any striking differences in handling characteristics (ik that FFB is different, but I mean actual physics)?

@georgesanchez8051 when you jump from acc to gt7, gt7 feels so numb. I've just bought a fanatec dd+ extreme so I'm still getting to grips with the settings on the wheel. I use the pre set setting on the wheel for both games and you get way much more feeling through the force feedback on assetto corsa. I average top 200 on gt7 on daily races, I work almost everyday so only get to play here and there so I'm pretty quick considering. The physics are better on Acc hands down, it almost takes away my accomplishments on gt7 where it makes it feel so arcade in comparison. Lol

Thank you for providing the info on how to join these races on ACC. It's a nice effort from SimGrid and PD needs some competition. The race, however, looked like a typical Monza GT7 carnage with extra steps for tire pressures and temperatures :)

ACC Looks Great, if it wasn't such a pain to change back from PC to PS5 with the Wheel, I would try it out. Changing the Wheel back and fourth id part of the reason I stopped GT7 and only do iRacing. Love the videos keep them coming.

If Ur playing on Xbox with a G920 it's best to have auto ignition and set starter to something like B button as the RSB, LSB (R3,L3 on G29) aren't mapable on the xbox

Hi Tidgney. Simgrid has changed the temperature to 23/27 ambient and track temperature respective. You may want to have a sticky comment so people are aware, and practicing and adjusting tyre pressure accordingly. And time is always 3pm.

I'll definitely add a pin with the temperature. That's not right with the brake bias, above 50% is more towards the front, below 50% is more to the rear.

Focus on tyre pressures first as it's the easiest thing to learn. But there are lots of setups online available to (Free of charge) so you don't have to worry about setups as much. I'll certainly be putting mine on the website that I have used in each race

Hopless to play with a dualshock controller. Tried every setting and nothing seems to cure how sensitive the steering is. Only race in bumper cam on gt7 , so find the fact u have to sit in or on bonnet off putting.

It is an issue that's for sure but there are lots of setups online readily available which will reduce the impact on that time.

Great guide! Two questions - what’s the difference between dry tires 2 and 3 (or 1)? And how much slower is the car with damage? Is it proportional to the number of seconds of damage?

There is no difference, imagine them as a stock pile. So you have 10 sets of tyres, then tyre set 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 😊. Damage isn't as significant as it used to be, you'd need to take a serious hit and have say 7+ seconds to start feeling the damage. It's also where the damage is can have an impact.

It's all on default from when I got the wheel. It does feel worse than GT7 and after jumping on ACC on the PC at the weekend I want to work on my settings a little to try improve it.

When you adjusted left front you went to 26.0 not 26.9 and did you mean increase by 1 degree not .1 degree for every 1 degree in Air temp and what about track temps ? Cheers

Nooo .1 degree for each degree of temperature. When I change PSI I work it out from the hot PSI
