It is not gamepad friendly. If you don’t have a wheel and are looking for a game that can easily be played on controller like forza or even BeamNG this is not the game for you. With a wheel this game is incredible and I can’t recommend it more, especially with mods

The default gamepad behavior isn't good, but recently I tried the "gamepad FX" mod and it makes using a controller actually enjoyable. (I know it's an old comment, but just leaving this reply here in case someone comes across the video hehe)

I've been running iRacing in vr for years and I have had AC for a long time, for some reason I just couldn't be arsed to get my wheel set up right. Plus modding the game into a good sim seems like too much work for me. But a friend of mine has convinced me to do so anyway

Thank you for the great video... I was heavily into modding & played for a couple years. The advancements since I paused playing for a bit are mind blowing, like "Pure" which is a weather mod which tags or piggy backs on SOL. I was so into it that I edited my .ini files in car folders for example to have base tunes for all race cars. I also have a program called 3DSimed where you can modify the 3D models of the cars & even tracks!

the main thing i learnt about AC many years ago is that you 100% need a steering wheel, don't get this if you only have a controller

@@SkysAutoSpa it's the way it registers the steering input, if the car's steering wheel rotation is 900degrees and from full left on controller to full right is registered as 100% (50% being dead centre) each % of controller stick movement will turn the wheel by 9degrees which basically means you can/will go from full lock to full lock in the blink of an eye, you can sort of get used to it in the slower cars when you've got time to be delicate and précised with the controls but the faster you go the faster and even more précised you have to be on the input.

If you record on ultrawide I recommend making the whole video itself that same resolution/aspect ratio, that way ultrawide phones, which are most phones nowadays, dont have to zoom in the video for it to fill the whole screen.

I'm trying to join the Sim Racing community and I want to buy 3 racing games which were FH4 Ultimate NFS Most Wanted AC (Porsche Season Pass) For the first two, they are pretty straightforward and I'm ready to play them. However, Assetto Corsa is another really realistic and hardcore racing game. I'm only buying a steering wheel (a cheaper midrange 100 dollar one) along with pedals included. I wanted to know if an RTX 4050 LAPTOP is powerful enough to run AC as well as the other two games. I also want to know if AC is compatible on laptop and comfortable because I won't be getting a PC. Finally, I just wanted to know what the Porsche season pass gives me, because I'm only buying it as it is a cheap DLC option that comes optional on the steam store.
