How to Juggle BEHIND THE BACK | Beginner Juggling Tutorial

In this juggling tutorial, I'll show you how to juggle BEHIND THE BACK. This is a great 3-ball juggling trick and a definite hit with audiences. In this trick, you juggle 3 balls, then you throw one ball behind your back and into your other hand, and then you can continue juggling normally. This type of throw is called a backcross. I'll show you how to do this throw step-by-step, giving you troubleshooting tips throughout the tutorial. Importantly, I'll also tell you best practices so you don't get hurt doing this trick!

In our circus my trainer said that lets say the right arm should go only to the middle of the back (it's all in the wrist) and not on the left side at all and vise versa for the left arm. Because the ball should go directly past the head, not so much far away as I see in this video.

I've heard that technique too. I find the extra wrist movement a little uncomfortable. Personally, I feel that if you can make good, consistent throws and you don't hurt yourself, I think that's the technique you should use.

Continuous backcrosses are still in progress haha. I can do at least 10 in a row from my right hand in a half-shower type pattern. I'm working on doing continuous ones from my left hand. Then I'll put it all together! And make a tutorial after that
