Have you ever experienced this super annoying problem with your glasses? All throughout the day you are constantly having to push them back up but they just keep slipping and sliding down your nose! That gets old real fast!
There have been a lot of articles written that I've found where people talk about using hair ties or shrink tubing around the ear areas to prevent slippage. This works ok I suppose, but then you see the ugly fix from the outside while you are wearing the glasses. How terrible.
This is BY FAR the best solution I have found to address this problem. I came up with the idea of using super glue to adhere small sections of a rubber band to the inside of the glasses arms at the tips. This works brilliantly! And you can't see it while you are wearing the glasses. I've even been able to shake my head vigorously while wearing them and the glasses stay in place! This would have never been possible before!
You see, once the oils from your face get onto the plastic of the frames they will slip and slide all over the place....problem no more!
One other thing, is I find a lot of people seem to want to alter the nose bridge area somehow to address this. Not necessary at all and will affect the way the glasses sit on your face if you do mess with it. I wouldn't recommend that.
Just try this simple and easy trick using super glue, a rubber band, and a knife. A set of tweezers might also be helpful for placing the rubber cuttings more precisely.
Let me know down below if you've come up with any other clever ways to prevent glasses from sliding down your head.
