For all of its simple gameplay, Pokémon GO has plenty of complexities that allows it to stay interesting for several years. However, many players who don't have direction may end up finding the game boring. Thus, in this video, I wanted to provide that direction so that you can keep moving forward with this game!

FYI, making the achievement screen isn’t bad at all in terms of platinum medals. As long as you duo or “duo” the raid, you will be nearly guaranteed a spot on the achievement screen.

I tend to get a lot of shiny bronzors. If that thing gets a CD, I'm eating both of my shoes. Now, I have 18. My next goal is to put 20 shiny bronzors in gyms at the same time ;-) My previous goal was to help develop the game by submitting stops. But since the wayfarer's system now is very dangerous, I quit. Warnings, bans, removing stops that were totally fine in the previous rule set, are now not appropriate anymore. Seeing my trail markers disappear in rural areas is just a big slap in the face.

One of my personal goals is to get a lucky of every tradeable pokemon. That way my regular pokedex has the nice purple background instead of that plain one. I don't pay attention to the other pokedexes.

9:17 I disagree with this point. PokeAK who has hit legend multiple times says that if you use the same team a lot and learn its strengths and weaknesses, you’ll eventually hit legendary. Obviously you can’t use only trash pokemon but you get the point.

My goal was to hit level 49 with-in 1 year of starting to play PoGo (achieved that). This year is to reach Lv50- Just gotta reach Lv 10 in GBL & get 7million more XP, so very close now. Other goals for this year are get the platinum trade medal (about 8 weeks off of achieving) & the training battles medal (went gold recently, but on track to achieve it by end of year with doing 5 battles per day), have banked 3million stardust by the end of the year (have almost 2mill banked now, but got a 13, 14, 14 shadow groudon this morning which I want to power up, so that will take a couple of hundred thousand dust out!) & start XLing the core group of raiding Pokémon I use most frequently. The big goal for next year is to get back in GBL- I have to find a way to enjoy playing it again instead of dreading it, as I really did used to love playing GBL before my account got hit with a hard counter nerf for one season. One of the only advantages of a rural player was the showcase medal being an easy platinum to get- I had well over 100 wins when Prof. Pikachu was added as the reward for platinum. However, I must admit I'm glad I got my wins done well before the reward was added, as I've noticed city or town players are increasingly hitting rural showcases enmase, so it's not uncommon for there to be 15-20 players in showcases that previously were just myself & one or two others at most.

The showcase one is relatively "easy" for us rural players, I always get a win, most of the time 2 or 3 for each showcase opportunity. I'm at 99 right now so next showcase will give me my platinum :) My advice here is to go out of your way to find remote showcases or even create yours. For that you need to go to a level 14 cell with no stops in that cell or the cells around it. You submit your stops following the guidelines and once they are approved you go back and check if one of them is a showcase - multiple of mines ended up being a showcase. Not easy but worth it

upon reaching the tail end of level 43 it became apparent that winning 30 master league battles was not happening since i concentrate in GL and a hair in UL, plus i have no XL candies and they removed Classic and Premier (back now yea!) cups. I made it a goal to win 30 without fake-battling friends. I wound up building an under-leveled team of gyarados, metagross and dragonite, waited to start the season at level 1 and see how far i could go. I picked up 15 wins before deciding to shelf it and pick up again next season after leveling everyone to 50. my goal is to one day max a legendary.

I have three goals and I don't want more for the moments: Platinum hatch (now 1700/2500), 10 000 000 stardust (now 8 mil) and maybe keep best buddying somehow (now 60+), but I will try not adding more. When or if I reach 10 mil dust, I will not save more. I am thinking about trying a somewhat different method when it comes to best buddies, but kind of boring one maybe. I hope to avoid goals later to be able to play a bit less.

Showcases, it depends on where u live but if u travel a lot, ur odds vastly increase. Where I go for d&d between ⛳ & there, there's like 3 or 4 parks that hav nobody/few ppl in the showcases. As 4 burnout, I play other games besides pogo. I know that sounds counterintuitive, but if u dedicate ur whole time 2 pokémon go, u will eventually burned out. Unless this is a pokémon u don't hav( including all variations) or you're trying 2 grind 2 lv 50, then do something else. Not only u get 2 do other things u like doing, but when u do go back 2 Pogo, even if it's just like 4 a couple of hrs, it makes a difference.

I am into pvp and I have found getting zygard to be a good long term goal. I'm getting closer to the complete form with only 60 cells to go which makes me wonder what my next longterm goal should be. Edit: I also like this goal for the longterm as it is completely free and accessible. I have made all of my own routes and paid $0 for it unlike raiding or egg hatching, and zygard is still better than anything you can raid for (except palika origin now i guess).

Got question. Do you know if there was ever an event that gave guaranteed XL candy for transferring a Pokemon to Professor Oak? I have about 150 mankeys to transfer (which are already traded with my girlfriend) and I wonder if there was such an event, because I still need some XL candy. The last trading event was great because you did 100 trades for example a day and got 100 candy XL, but it ended... The question is whether there is a chance for something like this when transferring, because I don't need them and I would rather get the most out of them, I can hold off even though the space always runs out as always...

Can't platinum the sinnnoh dex till they finish releasing all the pokemon. So that's annoying. I have to evolve a larvesta to platinum Unova, and the 2 I have aren't good. As they are so rare I don't want to grind up 400 more candy when I finally hatch a good one. I need the Skiddo/Gogoat and the Aegislash line to complete my Kalos dex. My Kanto dex is complete but I do need a shiny Kangaskhan, Jynx, Venonat and Paras to complete the shiny Kanto dex. Really my current goals are to get my favorite pokemon with good IVs. I just went to Cancun Mexico to get hawlucha and did not get good IVs or even good PVP IV's which I almost would rather prefer and seems easier to get. That would be an awesome flex if I had a good one and could use it in a local tournament. Honestly I just want to do better in GBL and local tournaments. Sadly the pokemon I like and want to use just aren't in the meta and they keep giving the meta pokemon counters to them.

winning 100 showcases is one of the more easy medals. Winning 1000 times in any of the leagues is way more difficult and time consuming.

Permanent level 43 player here... I have no interest whatsoever in PvP. As such, I've dug out the requirements to level up to 50 otherwise and am making note of my progress with those just to say I could. 34 Platinum medals with the 35th (Picnicker) likely to hit on the upcoming Bagon community day.

Hey, just throwing this out there in case it might help: you can do those PVP tasks with a friend. They can just put a low CP team in battle, and you can hard counter and knock out the required battles pretty fast to level up finally.

Something that keeps me going is just the walking benefits. On average I do 20,000 steps a day. You can play from home, or you can get out and get some exercise and more encounters.

The vast amount of reruns needed to get to a functioning level for top tier raids is absurd. You could run a mega week with rotating megas everyday twice a year and run multiple community days a month and it still wouldn't be enough to get new players to the point where you have a stable pve team. Missing megas are super punishing especially since s+ tier shadows don't come around often and a good number of shadow legendaries are also decent hundred iv hunts as well
