Protein drink between lunch and dinner. Dinner was a hamburger patty or a chicken breast with broccoli. Cut all sugars out !!!

I got a 1997 Dodge 3500 12v NV4500 2WD in 2006 with 200k on it. It now reads 200K again. Yes 1.2 million miles the only thing major that is not original is the transmission I am on my 5th one. Oil changes every 3-5k and I use WIX filters and Shell Rotella T4 and Royal Purple in the transmission and rear end. I have my own shop so that helps with maintenance like the front-end ext. The truck still puts in an honest day's work pulled a 48ft enclosed trailer with it with a bunch of stuff in it and gorse wight was 33,750 this past week. So don't slack on maintenance. These things will last if you maintain them.

I bought a 2011 F-350 w/ 174k on the clock about 5 years ago. Did the disaster prevention kit and changed the CP4 pump myself almost 2 years ago. Closing in on 198k. It’s my daily. I change the fuel filters at least once a year or every other oil change. I only use Wix filters, and either Delo 400 or Rotella oil. Regular maintenance is something I’ve been telling people for years. Even for gas powered vehicles, regular maintenance and inspections of your vehicle keeps them running and reliable. I worked in the auto parts industry for almost 10 years before switching careers. I saw people day in and day out that did nothing but drive their vehicles until they broke, without any regular maintenance. I hope your video and message convinces more people to do regular maintenance.

What are yoy considering a "older" truck?? I have a 05 LLY, 165gph fass, still have factory fuel filter, oil changed every 5-6k, and the emissions "fell off" going down the road. Truck only has 128k miles on it so I'm doing my best to keep it running its best for as long as possible. Thank you for all the information you've given in your videos and especially for making this one with all this information

I drive a 21 ram 5500 and according to the dash that does tell me when to get an oil change and fuel filter. They run pretty similar to each other,only a few percent different. Now to go from 100% to 0% is about 13000 miles. The dealership recommends every 10000 miles which is what i follow. My truck is around 92,000 miles now almost to that 100,000 miles already and still runs great! Fuel filter every oil change is needed.

The correct coolant. I would like to hear from Automotive side if regular coolant is causing excessive head gasket failures. It seems way less of an issue on the big rigs. I also like my Vw's and the VR6 got a terrible reputation for head gaskets because nobody read the owners manual and mixed American green with euro pink. gels up and blocks ports every time.
@rayhendricks7379 Жыл бұрын
I do know green coolant helped cause failures on 6.0s. The egr cooler and oil cooler would get plugged with sand from the casting of the block and the silicate in the green coolant would plug them the rest of the way off. Next thing you know your oil Temps are sky high or the egr cooler fails and prolonged running with a failed egr cooler will cause a blown headgasket

I think 5k miles is way overkill because I did an oil analysis with Blackstone labs about 3 years ago on my 08 dmc duramax, the oil sample I sent them had 36k miles on it I got the report back from them and read through all the items they test for and everything was normal and they said I could have taken the oil to to 40k miles and currently my truck has over 304k miles on it now as for fuel filtration you are absolutely correct on keeping the fuel as clean as possible I have a fass lift pump with a 2 micron napa filter and a 2 micron Donaldson filter with site bowl where the oem filter went and I also put howles fuel additive every fill up oem injectors are still going strong.
