I have a 05 ,6.0 4x4 f350 the oil pressure gadge just stopped working I want to put a Mechanical gadge on it ,all the places I go to ask about doing it say the I need specific type of threads is that true

I'm not JH but If you do some searching you can figure out what threads they are, I know on my car I had to get a 1/4 BSPT fitting to go on the filter housing. I think 1/4 NPT is common, but I would check around and see what the sensor is for your engine. You could also go to a parts store and look at a new sensor, or pull the old one out to see what the threads are. Once you know that, you can just get a brass fitting online. I just got a universal Autometer kit and all I needed to make it work was that fitting. It's also possible you may have an alternate port somewhere that you could put the new sensor in and keep the old one too. Hope this helps!
