Horrifying to see what can happen to our little tweets...great motivator for keeping on top of cage maintenence & educating ourselves about the best practices in care of these captive foriegners- if u aren't living in the semi-arid parts of Australia then your budgie burd is living in a foreign place... they deserve our best. they didn't ask to be taken into our homes, as apparently doggos did. personally, I can't afford vet bills. I'm awfully fond of my tiny BlueStar.She has made it to 10 yrs so far, most them in very sub-optimal conditions. This info is super important for many reasons .One is that any health problem is far easier & far less expensive to address when caught EARLY. Best Wishes to all the budgies & keeps & the humans who love or care about them.

Good info. But, one image that was misleading. The image of the boy budgie regurgitating seeds illustrated a healthy happy budgie mimicking regurgitating seeds as it would for his mate or offspring. In contrast, a sick vomiting budgie shakes his head and casts seeds all around like a seed sprinkler (or like one of those plastic devices used to feed your lawn where you crank the crank, and the contents is strewn about). So, don't get scared if your budgie obsessively regurgitates like the boy in this video. He's happy and healthy, and the only thing "wrong" with him is that he may wish he had a girlfriend. 😊🐣💗

the problem is that we could not find a decent doctor for the parrot. As if at random, they tried to determine what was wrong with him without special equipment and the necessary tests. A lot of drugs were given to our pet, but his gastrointestinal tract was very disturbed from the chemistry that the doctors prescribed us and he unfortunately died ... The problem in finding a good doctor to treat these birds is very big in my country 😓

yeh!! my best beloved burd died during pandemic cause vets wouldn't accept new patients & avian vets wete-& still are-scarce. I'm in a large metro area & it's shocking how few avian vets there are around here. Worse, the non-avian vets won't even look at a pet bird....😡 so yeh, what do we do when we can't access a vet? For real, please please give us some simple at home interventions to treat our at least help our feathered friends feel more comfortable. start with a disclaimer, then give us some help ...I know u can do it
