Excellent advice! I was life guard in the mid 80's in Florida and had cystic acne, could you imagine? I saw SO much skin damage in older women there which motivated me even more to commit to regular sunscreen application. At 59 I know it's made a difference. Sunscreen all day everyday no matter the season indoor or outdoor. 💯

Love this video! I'm 55 and almost have finished my first bottles of your entire line. Will order it all again soon. I just love the simplicity of it. It's everything I need. Very interesting about the growth factors and peptides being basically the same. I've basically tried every medical grade skincare line and yours tops them all. Thank you so much!

Gr8 info and gr8 presentation. Your pacing was gr8 and as a layperson, I was able to follow. Yay! BTW, would love to see a side-by-side of young skin cells vs more mature skin cells (i.e., what you see under the microscope). I'm a visual learner and I think the images would make an impact. TY for your time.

About wearing sunscreen:No sunscreen or sunglasses out there block out all of the sun's rays.The vast majority of the sun's rays still get through if you use only sunscreen and sunglasses to protect your face and neck from the sun.THAT is what is causing your patient's skin to continue to "age" if they only wear sunscreen and sunglasses to protect their faces and necks from the sun. They need to wear HATS (opaque plastic sun visors or leather or vinyl cowboy hats) and wear them between noon and two P.M. when the sun is directly above and don't look up into the sun.Also they should seek the 100% shade of a building (not the shade of a tree because the sun gets through between the branches).

Thanks for posting this video, very informative! I love your skincare line. I have been using the full line for about 2 months now and my skin feels amazing. I’m also incorporating the Alastin Nectar and restorative complex am/pm and skin better science alto+ (am) and Eventone (pm) . Do you think it’s too much or what do you suggest to keep along with your full skincare line?

I usually use some peptides, copper peptides and L ascorbic acid in the morning with tretinoin in the evenings. I have been reading that peptides and vitamin c ‘cancel each other out’ /reduce the efficacy of each other… can you tell me if this is correct and if so, how best to fit them all in?! Should I use peptides before tretinoin in the evening instead 🤔? Many thanks!

About "At home micro needling not working": Aesthetician Penny who runs Penn Smith Skincare on KZbin says otherwise (and she has the skin to prove it).She also uses red LED light therapy.Anyway,since you claim to be forty-five years old and you have the skin of someone nineteen years old you are doing SOMETHING to make your skin younger other than just strict sun avoidance.If you were just practicing strict sun avoidance you might look as young as twenty-five but not as young as nineteen.You say that it's peptides and strict sun avoidance that gives you such young skin.Penny of Penn Smith Skincare on KZbin also uses peptides but she also microneedles and uses red LED therapy.
@DrStefaniKappel Жыл бұрын
You are correct. I am not a fan of microneedling and I prefer lasers. In addition to sun protection, I have been using lasers on my own skin since I was 22 years old. I've been studying the skin for over 20 years. I looked up the KZbinr who you referenced and she is not a board certified dermatologist nor is she a fellowship trained laser surgeon. With all due respect, get your information from where you want. But as someone who was a Professor of Dermatology and Cosmetic Dermatology and who has been in this business for over 20 years, I completely disagree.

Dr. Obagi vitamin c is more textured, the growth factors are thicker serums, what order to apply these two on? Or alternate the two? Also, is it okay to use glycolic acid during the day with low dose retinol from ZO? Thank so much for doing this and very educational on cellular renewal.
