Always good to know how the beer goes *in* the keg… ;)

You know before I got into the industry I'd only used corny kegs. Switching to Sankey this method was efficient, affordable, and cost effective.

Thanks for the vid. Great work! Just one point, you have oxygen in your line just before attaching to the keg. Any way of reducing that? Maybe a non return valve? The oxygen can reduce your shelf life.

I appreciate the concern but once it's blown out with the liquid which is filled with co2 through an oxegynless tank plus carbonation, the oxidative exposure and effect is minimal. Never had stale off flavors ever be an issue in our kegs. If you watch a professional canning line there is still exposure to oxygen. It's all about minimizing it and not letting it dissolve into the product.

@@michaelbrews I guess it’s minimal, you are right. Shame though, that your coupler requires the ball to be removed -> it can’t remain shut. In Germany the Typ-A couplers can open / close as you wish with a lever. That allows easy purging of lines as seen in this video. He is using a keykeg coupler. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaOqe4qMaMmknJIsi=zY7BGz2c6HgsyMK_

Very nice we do it similarly execpt no flow control output cause we have to carbonate ine the keg :/ beer looks very nice and clear but in my opinion not fizzy enough 😂 would love to try it though

I pulled the one keg for the video and let the rest plus up a bit, but it sat on the line over the three days we are closed and got where it needed to be 😉. Thanks for the feedback Green! How big is your guys' system?

we just started with a 500l setup and two 1000l fermenter but it‘s all low budget and secondhand, therefore our tanks only reach 0.8bar. Carbonation in the tank takes way to long like that. But we‘re dreaming of some proper fermenters like yours ;)

have you filtered the beer to get that clearity?
@michaelbrews
@michaelbrews 7 ай бұрын
With this specific beer it's just a product called biofine. It's not much different from whirlfloc. 150 ml as it transfers to the bright tank and after a day or two, the little bid of cloudiness settles out as the clarifying agent attaches to proteins and yeast.
