Im baffled why we dont have a bounty for these. Resetting the map 30 times, and flying like an idiot to not get a spawn is apparently a fun way to play the game for DE.

Small detail, if you armor strip the thumper, it no longer has vulnerability to radiation damage, instead it has vulnerability to blast, but if you are using arquebex it doesn't matter, otherwise you might want to change your damage type

I used Dagoth and she works just as fine as Nova since her 4th ability armor strips, her 1st ability slows it down just enough to damage, and her 3rd ability just in case you get killed or don't pay attention to your health(saved me about 2 times) Thank you for the guide I really wanted to know how to kill that thing

btw if you select the bounty do it in world as you did, start it by going to the highlighted area, then just run away. The bounty "fails" but the level remains set higher. Then and only then kill thumper(s) extract and keep the spoils without the drag of doing a bounty you may not care about.

Just learned something fun! If you're planning to fail the bounty and just get the NW points...but the thumper actually drops something you want to keep...let the bounty fail _in-mission._ Let the drone get destroyed, the prisoner get blown up, etc. Just to be extra safe, I found a bounty station and _successfully completed_ a level 1-5 bounty. That way, the game didn't yell at me or deny me rewards when I extracted!

@@Homeside301 Different rules when you walk in with an active bounty, is all. Free roam is free, but, "You entered the Plains with a mission, you walked out without completing that mission" transforms it into a failstate.

I was thinking. Protea might be really good here. Gloom on her 4th. With her Passive that gives a 100% ability strength, so it'll be a really nice slow. Then with her dispensary, u don't have to worry about ammo or energy because it'll drop both

the problem with gloom is that you constantly gotta jump back to the frame to reposition it a lot so Nova is just a better choice overall since her 4 lasts a decent bit of time and if quick enough the mech can shred the legs easily

If you want mission complete After starting the bounty, go find the targeted tusk Tumblr after killing it , go to the objective start the task and abandon the objective till it says bounty fail then you can leave with mission complete and resource from the tusk Tumblr will remain or start new bounty inorder to find the targeted tusk Tumblr easy ..

Eidolon hunters have an even easier time with Thumpers than this... Their spawn mechanics are the same as for Vomvalysts, so we know very well how to spawn them very quickly. And you can enter Itzal's invisibility (we always use Itzal), in which case, you have almost total freedom to hit whatever part of the Thumper you want, at a 100% safe distance, and you really have all the time in the world to line up your shots. You can blink while maintaining your invisibility, as long as you only use blinking to move. And armor stripping, and high damage radiation are optimal both for Thumpers and for Eidolons. With totally standard Eidolon builds, a Rubico one shots each weak point, without having to build up combo, and the fight takes about 30 seconds, even if you're a pepega like me and whiff nearly half your shots 😆 Also... Vastilok is actually technically better than Sarpa for armor stripping. They both do work perfectly fine though.

@@5H4D3 It's not all that simple or easy to learn, it kinda takes some experience with spawning and despawning mechanics. But watch somebody play Wisp in an Eidolon hunt to see how.

Tip for fellow noobs: Having no infinite ammo weapon I just did it with a HEK with maxed Shell Compression Mod, had about 100 shells left when it died.

Hi, I don't know if you will see this comment, but I've recently found out that stropha (Redeemer Prime too probably) is very good against thumpers, 1k dmg per hit with pretty cheap build

why did I think these only spawned in Steel path.... I have been ignoring this bounty every time it showed up because I thought they only spawned in the Steel Path Bounty, the only reason I bothered is because I need a catalyst and this bounty is the only thing standing between me and the 15 credits I need to buy it. you donty want to strip ALL its armor, if you strip all its armor it loses the vulnerabilty to ex. robotic so radition dmg bonus gone, gotta becareful with that flat armor striup lol its better to stand further back because it will spin less and u have more access to target more often which is counter intuitive i kno [necramech rage] is great for keeping up its 4 if u make mech have low shields high health and armor

If you activate a bounty and don't complete it you do not get to keep any drops. Since Tusk Thumpers drop some decent loot, especially the Doma variant, I would suggest to complete the bounty. They implemented that auto fail on non complete for some reasons to screw people over.

It's not letting me strip the armor anymore like it used to...I use armor strip frames I use armor strip from the operator school nothing works anymore...the armor logo is still by the health bar after I do those things

This was honestly a little bit painful to watch after using Zenurik to slow it down. No specific method of slowing is going to be ideal to acquire in just a couple days for someone who is unprepared, but the Zenurik slow seems like the best option to me. Just eyeballing my results against yours makes it seem much stronger than even your two-ability combo here. The catch is that it's short-lived, but then it's also quick and easy to refresh. (Your Molecular Prime was pretty short-lived anyways.) This method also means players can use whatever warframe they want, such as Rhino for Roar. Meanwhile, it's a surreal feeling to be at a point where these things have become a joke to me. I remember struggling to kill my first thumpers of the lowest tier and failing due to the ammo issue. Now, killing a Doma with my 2 forma'd Corinth Prime was almost effortless and ammo didn't even come close to being on my mind. No other gimmicks besides Zenurik to get it to "hold still".
