I dont remember if it got patched but there is a bug where you can hit the dragon with an arrow on the exact tick it hits you and the arrow will kill it instantly. It is really hard to do and requires you to ge on 20 fps and using the stats button to move forward a frame (hence the 20 fps)

it is physical impossible to do a 10 second one cycle as the dragon follows a nodal path which requires the dragon to pass through a 30 block radius of 2 of the nodes before perching. However, you can kill the dragon faster than that called "zero cycling" which does not involve a dragon perch
