I believe the problem with the number of aliens vs kill-ability boils down to this: when they hunt in a pack, their abilities are less honed, they don’t need to be as bloodthirsty or intelligent because they hunt in packs, like wolves. When they are alone, they need to adapt to survive, like a panther, using stealth and intelligence to outsmart their prey. They don’t have the advantage of having numbers, so they must change hunting habits to cope with that. Just a thought, though.

I know its abit late, but i still wanna say this. Im pretty sure Lone Wolf Xenos are tougher due to no Queen controlling them. They're tougher since they think about themselves and aren't gonna meat shield themselves for a queen. In aliens and resurrection, The queens did ALL the thinking, meaning they controlled the xenos to protect or bring hosts, this is splitting the thinking and mental processing power amoung a few dozen warriors and drones, making them weaker in multiple ways. It also explains why the AVP Xenos grew smarter and more ferocious when the numbers began to dwindle, seeing as the queen only had to order fewer ones in the end

I think the reason multiple are easier to Jill is because as a "hive" species, a large nest will share nutrients between the eggs, giving you 100 average warriors over one insane warrior. ants do this and this is what separates some species warriors from workers. The warriors are specifically grown alone, so that the get more nutrients and come out larger and stronger.

Maybe the "weakness in numbers" thing kinda makes sense. If the xenomorph is alone, it knows it need to preserve itself in order to continue the species, and will be more careful. But when there are lots of them, they know than can use their overwhelming numbers without fear of dooming the species if they die. Its actually frightening how intelligent the xenomorphs are implied to be.

Also, the only reason why they fell so quickly was because the marines and predators had the necessary equipment to kill them. So if they didn't, they probably wouldn't fall as easily. Not to mention that they had to lower the horror aspect as time went by.

Another reason might be feeding. The 1979 original ate all the food and nutrition stores on the Nostromo, aiding its rapid growth. Presumably the Dog Xenomorph did the same thing to the prison's stores. The swarm in Aliens and the clones in Resurrection had to share whatever they took while being very active against larger groups of Humans.

If you mean the Xenomorphs in Aliens, this is because the Pulse Rifles and Smartguns uses explosive tipped bullets. This is why the Xenos explode when they get hit. It was also stated the Colonial Marines also uses armor piercing bullets. Don't believe the Xenomorphs being killed by modern day weapons since a Xenomorph in Aliens took an entire clip from its carapace when Gorman shot it with his pistol. The bullets were reported to be bouncing off. So those modern day weapons would be useless.

Difficult to say. we've seen the Predator/Alien hybrids before in game forms, as well as in AVP Requiem (though the whole "making chestbursters from pregnant women" still feels like bullshit). The question becomes which terminator blends with that one. Obviously, the 600 and 800 series wouldn't work so well, since the only thing it could add is a metal endoskeleton that, while providing heavy armor, would reduce its mobility and speed to the point where it would weaken its potential, making it even easier to kill. A T-1000 type would be the best bet, with both mobility, camouflage, and even more extrasensory capabilities. If the 3 way hybrid of this type would exist, only extreme cold conditions, like the liquid nitrogen or the vacuum of space, would be considered effective, but since it could form metallic extensions with ease, GOOD LUCK! The problem with this video, is it isn't well researched. The reason the Xenomorphs in Aliens getting killed by Colonial Marines is due to the Pulse Rifles and Smartguns firing explosive tipped bullets which explodes upon contact when they hit their targets. This is why the Xenomorphs explodes in Aliens. The Colonial Marines are also known to use armor piercing bullets. My info comes from Alien the Weyland-Yutani Report and Aliens Colonial Marines Technical Manual which gives details on the weapons used by Colonial Marines.

Ridley Scott only created the Prometheus/Covenant storylines because he didn't want the Aliens franchise to be tied to the Predator franchise in any way, shape or form. So I class his Alien prequels as non-canon spin offs. The crew in Alien had no weapons. So of course 1 xenomorph is going to rip threw them. Imagine the marines didn't have any weaponry when the hordes of xenomorph came at them? Marines wouldn't stand a chance. The premise on "no weapons" from Alien, was used again in Alien 3. So when it comes to one group of Xenomorph being stronger/weaker, they're pretty much deadly to human life even in their weakest form. As for the AVP universe. I like the backstory of that, than the Alien prequel stories that Ridley Scott has pulled from his backside.

When it comes to fans wanting to know the Xenomorph origins, I think fans are only fascinated with the idea of wanting to know. The Xenomorph seemed deadlier when less was known in my opinion. Blaming Alien Covenant damaging the Alien franchise when AVP did way worse when they had the Xenomorphs on modern day earth and nerfing them by having them killed by modern day weapons(the pizza boy with a handgun is just stupid). Not to mention the Predators in AVP are dumber than the crew of the Covenant. Lets start with how the AVP movies portrayed the Predators being dumber than the crew of the Covenant. The temple setting sounds cool on paper. But in reality, it's impractical due to the fact it provides an opportunity for kill stealing. Imagine yourself a Predator having fought hard and killed a Xenomorph. Then a D-bag Predator comes and knocks you out and steals your kill. Because this happened inside the temple, the Elder Predators wont see the dishonorable deed done by the D-bag Predator. And the AVP movies portrayed that the Predators have been conducting this Xeno hunt for thousands of years. They should know how dangerous the Xenomorphs are and that they themselves are not immune to facehuggers. Yet they didn't even bother to scan the dead teenage Predator if his carrying a chestburster before putting him in the ship. So either the Predators don't have Xeno Quarintine Protocols or they're just to lazy and stupid to scan the corpse despite the fact they've been conducting these Xeno hunts and should be aware that they themselves are not immune to facehuggers. And we saw the consequences of these Predators in AVPR when the Predalien emerged and was killing the Predators inside the ship. One Predator even shot a plasma caster and caused the ship to crash. And AVP2010, we saw the Predalien took multiple hits from a plasma caster with little to no effect. That Predalien even got submerged in lava and was shown to be fine. So the Predator firing a plasma caster at the Predalien crashed the ship for nothing. The Xenomorphs in the AVP movies have been nerfed since it shows Alexa impaling and killing a Xeno using the Predator's combostick. This is stupid since the Xenomorph in Alien got impaled by a harpoon and got blown out of an airlock. Yet that Xenomorph still survived and was trying to get back inside the Narcissuss. So I call BS on Alexa killing a Xeno by impalement. She should've been dead. But the plot nerfed the Xeno. Then AVPR happened and had the Xenomorphs getting killed by modern day weapons. This shows that the Strauss Bros phucked up. The Pulse Rifles and Smartguns used by the Colonial Marines are explosive tipped rounds. This is why the Xenomorphs in Aliens explode when they get hit. Let's not forget the Xenomorphs couldn't take over the town fast enough since modern day weapons can kill them. This makes Ellen Ripley's statement of the Xenomorphs taking over the earth laughable since they can easily be killed by modern day weapons. This is why I say AVP did more damage to both franchise. It especially did more damage to the Alien franchise😧

In the first alien the alien was very stealthy. Allowing for fast and easy kills. Plus the crew had no guns. And in many numbers they are easily noticed. Also in alien 3 the overseer of the security in the prison said that there were no weapons of any kind in the prison. Ripley even asks why are they running security for the prison with no weapons.

I was watching Aliens when I was much younger. The part at the start where you could see the chestburster in Ripley was so scary for me that I hid in my room.

If your first experience isn't Alien, I think the development of one's perspective is skewed. Aliens has a higher body count for the xenos because they are fighting warriors, not truckers, and they have good guns, as you said. Fun fact, I used to love Aliens SO much that I could continue all the lines of the movie if you quoted me a part of the script. Not anymore.
