wanted to ask you, I can finally do the split, but I can't come up again, so If I want to use split I have to use it as final move cause I can't come back up. So, how do I get up from the split? same way as coming back up from knee drop?

i finally don't hurt my knees and do it smoothly after watching this tutorial, thanks very much!!! Also, if you don't mind, may you do a tutorial about jazz split as i found it difficult when doing between moves. it will be great if you could do this tutorial and it's just a suggestion😊. BTW, thanks for spending time making these useful and brilliant tutorials, i am really looking forward to new ones!!!:)

Brilliant you definitely filled the gaps in my technique. you showed me without saying it. start wide and low and press down on your big toes. I go down with more control 👍

The content lives up to the title! It's indeed the best and safest approach. I'm recommending this video to people asking us how to knee drop effectively and safely (coz I'm that lazy these days to shoot myself lol). But really, this is the best and most thoughtful knee drop tutorial I've ever seen. Really really great work, Jam! I do have a suggestion! It's actually inspired from one of the comments here on beginner-friendly locking. I mean, sure, locking is so cool with the knee drops, jazz half splits, swan dives, and other stunts. But I can't emphasise enough the versatility and potential of the very first moves Don created for the Campbellock: the lock, giving a five, points, pacing, and wrist rolls. I'm not sure whether you've already made a video each for giving a five and points, but once you're done I think it'll be a wise idea to make a video that focuses only on these five basic moves. It'll be like a video that synthesises them and emphasising that you actually don't have to be doing the advanced, fancy stunts to call yourself as a locker and that it only takes these five to dance locking. Not only this makes another beginner-friendly video, but it also makes your channel even more friendly and reliable for beginners. I'm thinking of showing possible combos, patterns, angles, and orientations using the five basics as content. I'm coming from an information from my students before that "In cyphers, sometimes, I don't know what to do next, so I keep going back to the Skeeter Rabbit or Scoo B Doo until I think of another good combo." So, the video will be sort of a toolkit to enhance one's use of the basics? So that it does not come out as you're just pacing all the time, wrist rolling all the time. It's like showing your skills, variations, and other stuff that you can do with these basics. I hope you get what I mean haha, like a back-to-basics thing. It's always wise and nice to fortify your foundations because they are your bestfriend in the given dance style. That's all! Haha. Looking forward to the jazz half split! :)

Thank you John Michael! It’s funny you say this, because I actually have already planned to release a video exactly like you described 😊 in my classes, I always emphasize that you only need the groove and those 5 fundamentals to be able to fully dance in the style! I will be realizing a points tutorial on its own (which I should have done a long time ago 😅) as well as this type of video. I appreciate your comments, suggestions, and support! 🙏🏼
