I love this pattern, but a note to everyone before they make this: the pattern that is given is not the pattern that is used for the cozies that are being pictured. When making the body, the pattern instructs you to make a 2x2 rib for 4 rows, then a stitch of your choice for 16 rows, then a 2x2 rib for 4 rows to finish it off. The pictures show small to-go mugs, but if you follow this instruction, it will make a cozy for a large to-go mug and the arms will look a little wonky because they are smaller than they should be. I immediately knew that the 16 rows of stitches were too much when i placed the arms on and they looked disproportionate. I looked back at the photos of her cozies and they are actually 12 rows of stitches between the 2 ribs. So what you need to do in order to match her photos exactly, for a small to-go mug, is do 4 rows of 2x2 rib, 12 rows of your choice, and then 4 rows of 2x2 rib to finish it off. If you do end up wanting to make the 16-row pattern for a larger to-go mug, I suggest adding 1 more row to your arms in order to make them look proportional to the body.
@michaelshawn51036 жыл бұрын
I also just realized that the pocket is too big too. The photos show the pockets at 8 rows of stitches, 6 stitches in each row.

I love this pattern! It’s sooo cute and easy and knits really quickly! I’ve already knitted some Santa ones for work! 😃 Question…I tried knitting it on double pointed needles casting on the same number of stitches as in the tutorial but bizarrely it’s come up much smaller than when I knitted it on straight needles even though I cast on the exact same about of stitches and the needle sizes are all the same. Is this normal for work on double knitting needles to come up smaller than on straight needles? And if so, how many stitches would you recommend going up by when knitting on double knitting needles ? 😊
