I have used this patten to make around 10 masks for myself, family, and coworkers. I tried making the ties separately but had problems with them loosening after wear and wash. Instead, I knit in ear loops. I start with a 2-stitch i-cord for 6 inches, cast on 12 stitches, pick up 2 stitches from the beginning of the i-cord, begin pattern. Cast off 14 stitches, i-cord 6 inches, bind off. Sew i-cord to corner of the mask. Only have to attach 1 piece for an ear loop. Confidently secured!

Hi love this!! Having a little trouble understanding, are you making the icords/ear loops separately and then attaching them on after you make the mask with stitches? Or are you integrating them into the knitting as you start and finish? Would LOVE a pic!

What kind of yarn are you using? What's the material? Is it cotton yarn?
@LadyLuxe334 жыл бұрын
If you use a 100% cotton yarn, would it still be necessary to line the mask with cotton? Thank you for this tutorial!
@ladyd544 жыл бұрын
Yes you would still need to line for the weave of the stitch is not tight enough to keep small particles from getting through.

Instead of using seed stitch, I’m gonna try a standard stockinet stitch. 😷
