Hey #EarlySquad! Hope you're inspired by my new video! What knitting project do you think would be fun to make while adding beads?
@etrikia7 жыл бұрын
I was thinking of a beach-themed piece I've been conjuring. It would have a bubble stitch leading into a shell stitch ( mermaid tail and top) into a wave stitch (ocean) maybe some cabling for seaweed then into a garter stitch with the beads so they look like shells on the shoreline :)

still learning diffrent ways to knit now I have started knitting again. I used to knit a lot years ago and when mine was growing up. I lost a pattern I did a lot of things in that pattern. It was a knit in loop pattern with 2 diffrent sized needles one large the other a size down. It looked when finished stick out loops. I will have to try bead knitting Thank You something else to have a go at. just tried diffrent pattern doing my dish cloths. a good thing to practise on you dont have to bother if you do a wrong stitch. like your seed stitch it looks nice did get carried away noticed I did a stich in wrong place only a dish cloth.

Help help help!!!!!!! Where do you find patterns to place the beads? And how do you get them to slip on the crochet hook so easily I'm having trouble. Thank you!
@rosalindrussell18416 жыл бұрын
Hi Pam, if you did not get your question answered. If you noticed in the video, she had several different sizes of crochet hooks. Your hook needs to be small or large enough to go through the hole of the bead that you are intending to use. If the hook goes through the bead hole, good. If it does not go through, then you try another size hook. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Please help...do you turn the work over and purl back? Then when do you place your second row of beads?you have six beads each time but they are not right underneath each other, do you place the next row of beads after 3 knitted stitches in, instead of 2 like you did row one, and how many do you need to cast on so the beads don't look all jumbled together?
@pamzacharski99957 жыл бұрын
Please can someone look at my question? I'm a bit confused. Thank you!
@studioknit7 жыл бұрын
Hi! You can place them anywhere you’d like. In this sample, I knitted beads into every third stitch, spaced out on the right side of my work. Have fun with it!! 💖
@pamzacharski99957 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your help. You really do explain our videos very well to new knitters like myself. Please don't stop I'm learning so much.
@alexandraabraham66987 жыл бұрын
Pam, on the right side, just decide how often you'd like to place a bead... there's nothing to stop you making a completely random pattern, I guess, if you'd want to... But leave at least one stitch between beads. To make a one-row gap, just work the following row without adding any beads... but the possibilities are endless... you can increase the rows between beads, you can draw out a knitting pattern and plan your bead placement according to your design... you can design cushion covers, bags, headbands, bed throws... Can't wait to raid my bead shop and get creative! It's great to learn a different method than that of just threading all the required beads onto the yarn before beginning to knit! And they lie in the knitted piece so neatly, too!
@vivianpowell17325 жыл бұрын
This video should be extended in order to show how the reverse side is worked, in both stockinette and garter stitch versions. Also, it could include adding beads to garter stitch projects as well as the stockinette version that's already shown.

And if you have beads with to small a hook for a crochet hook, get some dental floss, place the dental floss and use it as a crochet hook then slip the tiny bead on the floss then down to the yarn. Slip the yarn back on the needle ad you got it.
