Hi Rachel, I don't recall the gauge for this swatch. But I just made up a swatch with medium weight (4) yarn and it gave me the following gauge: 12 sts x 2 pattern repeats on US size 9 (5.5 mm) needles gives a swatch that's 3 inches wide and 1 inch in height. Hope that helps. If you wish to use this pattern for a project, would suggest making a similar pattern swatch with the yarn and needles you want to use (for medium weight yarn, suggest using US 7 to 9 size needles). That way you will get your gauge and can calculate the number of stitches to cast on (as long as they are an even number, pattern will work). Thanks for watching and best wishes. Happy New Year!

This uses similar K1b-type stitches as the 1-color honeycomb brioche pattern. A more advanced 2-color version is the one with which I knitted pink scarf (kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3q0emuujt14q5I), but this uses the brioche stitch and not the K1b stitch.
