Retired now, and reaquanting myself with knitting after many busy years. I'm making an afghan of 6 lt to dark yarns, and 5 different stitch patterns for my daughter. Just completed a feathers and fans for daughter #2 , and will see what daughter # 3 wants when done. Forgot how much fun it is. 🥰

Thank you very much for this. I am working on a pattern and was confused about the 3rd and 4th sts. Funny that you said you prefer not to think of it as purl the purls and it may be confusing, but that's what make it click for me. Thanks again for the video.

@@Blima-us1ni Yayay hahaha!! Me neither- the most I had to do with knitting before was making a wonky scarf that I still haven't finished, but making the cardigan has been going really well so far! I hope your cardigan turns out great too- I'm sure it will haha x

Brittany I noticed you use Takumi bamboo needle set and you love it, Yes I too love the individual attached cord needle as well as the strait needles bad recently I bought the set thinking it will be more convenient and just grab and no need to go looking for the sizes ( i've over 70 pair of knitting needles) But to my first used the screw came undone and after knittingt 1 row . I was so upset .I have written the US Clover distributor so far no response, don't you have problem with them could it be I just got a lemon ? Actually I read in Amazon feedback have the same complain .. Perhaps you have some advise to share? Thanks

I just watched a moss stitch tute before this one that said cast on odd nmbr. Then had rows 1 and 4 the same and rows 2 and 3 the same. Have you heard of this? Why is it different for the same kind of stitch?
@judyhoffman13594 жыл бұрын
My first question was, why are the needles so short? I never leaned to cast on correctly. Thanks for making it look so easy. When I watched you purl, I never looped the yarn that way over the thumb. I have never learned to follow patterns. Thanks, after 50 years.

Glad it was helpful! In the demonstration I used shorter, double pointed needles for the sake of the video. It's easier to film and demonstrate a little swatch 👍

Thank you for a good tutorial. I am knitting a raglan sweater (in the round) with a moss stitch pattern, and would like to raise the back of the sweater using short rows. Is there any way to knit short rows without disrupting the moss stitch pattern? I can´t seem to find a way to make it work, because the short row turns seems to disrupt the pattern no matter what I do! Any tips would be very welcome :) NB: The moss stitch pattern = *Round 1 & 2: K1, P1 til end of the round. Round 3 & 4:: P1, K1 til end of the round*.

How do you weave in ends in this type of stitch?
@bsfb3ar5 жыл бұрын
Aha! I guess because you knit with the English style so you don't twist the needle as much as a continental style that is why yuor s did not come apart. I found if I knit English style it goes much slower and it is harder for my thumb don't know why.
