My granddaughter is 6 years old and wants to learn to knit. She's left handed and your video helped her SO MUCH that we had to write to tell you how much we appreciate your help! She said to tell you "Awesome sauce!"

Thank you for your easy to follow directions. I had been struggling trying to follow right handed directions and with your video I was able to be successful right away.

That's great Marjan! We'll be doing left handed versions for all of our future videos.

this is perfect, so much easier to follow than any other video. I could not find your left handed series until I read these comments below

Thank you for this wonderful video!!! My 7yo daughter wants to learn knitting (she tends to use her left hand more). I don't know how to knit, so we have looked at many videos for beginners. None of them could get her started, until we found your video. So what's the next step? How can she knit the 2nd row? Is there a video you would recommend?

I'm right handed but can only knit left handed. Have never been able to cast on left handed so thank you for this. So simple when you know how 😄

Thanks a lot, is there a second part for this video to do row 2?
@yarnistco4 жыл бұрын
Well it's just a cast on video, once the yarn is on the needle, the next row will depend on what you are making.

Hello, I'm teaching myself to knit and I have a question I hope you'll answer. I am left handed, so casting on and the first row is no problem, but with row two I want to just stitch the knitting needles so that I'm still using my dominant left hand. My mom mentioned that I can't do that it will mess up the pattern, but I don't see the difference as long as I switch the knitting needles each time, unless I'm missing something. Can you help me? Is it necessary to work one row with the left hand needle taking off the yarn and the next row with the right hand needle taking off the yarn, or can I just switch the needles to the other hand and continue or will the pattern get messed up? Hope I'm making sense.

When I knit the first row the yarn between each stitch gets longer and longer. Ok on a small item but a Major problem on any thing large

Is all of the information and tutorials on you website for left handed knitting?
@yarnistco10 жыл бұрын
actually they're mostly Right handed, but we try to put our versions of both for all our tutorials.

Thanks. I'm trying to learn starting at only knowing "these are needles and this is yarn". I found the ones by the male pretty good. Most videos go to fast for beginners. Better if they talked slower and moved slower and did it over and over several times. This guy did that. Just finally found a friend who is left handed and knows how to knit and crochet and is going to teach me. First lesson on Friday. Thanks for the response!

I've been trying to figure out whether I'm accidentally purling from being left-handed and slowly going insane. I regret learning to knit in all honesty
