Doesn’t have a period, has a six pack and wants to lean out, intentionally walks 25k steps for no necessary reason, still cutting and doesn’t want to eat more- this totally screams disordered to me

If she hasnt got a period she is not eating enough and is too low a body fat percentage for her. Fasting is also a disaster for pre menopausal women, it raises cortisol and can exacerbate the issue. She looks healthy but shes really not if her hormones arent in check.

Same here. I noticed ovulation cancels out a deficit until my period starts. I’m starving from ovulation until day one of my period… then I can cut fine from day one of my period until ovulation. It’s something I got to get figured out asap

I am literally going through the same shit right now. I recently cut down to 13% body fat, which I fell in love with, but now my body is HUNGRY. I already eat around 2000 calories, but that's obviously not enough to satisfy me. I haven't had my period in 3 years, plus I haven't seen my muscle increase in almost a year. Definetly time to reverse, but it's a mental battle at the end of the day. Eating that much food as a female doesn't seem right, but it will be worth it. Thank you for this video.

Hormones make such a difference. I'm fine for my follicular phase and feel satiated most of the time. Then, I feel like I could eat a horse every day of my luteal phase and still feel hungry. It's really hard at times because my impulse control is usually shot during that stage also❤

Same… I’m gonna try decreasing carbs a bit or just only complex carb during this time. My cravings are uncontrollable after ovulation until my period. Simple carbs starts a carb craving cascade for me. I may also decrease cardio a bit during that time because cardio makes me hungry as well or just stick to liss. Finally I’m gonna prioritize sleep and stress reduction during this time as if they are off I’m starving. So if that means sleeping in over a workout after ovulation, I’ll take sleep.

Sometimes that what body dysmorphia can do. Alternatively they have a specific number they need to hit for fitness. One mistake for women is that they try to achieve male level of low body fat, which isn’t good / suitable for natural body composition reasons between the genders.

This is super sad - how are they not aware that she is displaying like screaming obsessive tendencies which are growing out of control. Like why is she doing this? She has disordered eating, she is exercise obsessed and she doesn’t realise she is totally unhealthy. It’s not healthy eating whole foods and not having periods and doing that many steps. I also think its super sad they reinforce the disorder by telling her how great she looks. This is what its based on. She is completely unaware - really worrying and sh are mind pump. Quite shocked by you guys!

They’re podcasters, not psychiatrists… they told her to eat more several times, but it’d be way inappropriate for them to call her out on a podcast for having an eating disorder
@antoniaosborne4972
@antoniaosborne4972 10 ай бұрын
@@tanktrained2775 they’re personal trainers, they have a large following they have a responsibility- it’s nothing to do with being a psychologist . It’s about understanding what’s healthy and what’s not - by not raising awareness on it, they are endorsing it. They also praised her body repeatedly yet she isn’t menstruating which means no estrogen which damages bones and heart and is very serious in long term. Also what’s the point in your comment?
@antoniaosborne4972
@antoniaosborne4972 10 ай бұрын
@@tanktrained2775 to add - I never said to “call her out” but they could have at least spelt it out clearly that what’s she’s doing is unhealthy. Also the 3 walks a day and how it’s increased - they could have spoken to her about that. It’s not about making her feel bad or labelling. It’s about raising her awareness and certainly not making out what she is healthy - I think this is not only unproductive for her but also impacting many other impressionable people who watch this.

While it's always important to watch out for people struggling with mental health issues, I would also ask, have you ever tried to really hone your physique? And this isn't an attack, it's a true question. Some people who are not genetically gifted have to fight tooth and nail to get to their desired look. Can that desired look be negative for their health sometimes? Of course. Things can always be taken too far, but before "diagnosing" someone it's important to really understand the entire situation. Furthermore, it's been my experience that because Western culture is so overfat that as soon as someone is really pushing themselves hard physically and mentally it can look disordered. But is not living 75% of your life at 30%+ bodyfat disordered as well?

I’ve been watching a lot of your podcast and I’ve been really enjoying them, however, I’m still not completely sure what program I should get. I reached out to someone on chat, and was recommended Maps Starter and then go on to Maps Anabolic . However, I’m confused on which one to start with because I’ve been weight training for more than 20 years with very breaks. My goal is fat loss and I just wanna know what I’d be OK just to start with the Maps Anabolic since I already have experience weight training?

While, I understand a lot of peoples comments about her possibly having an eating disorder these gentlemen, here in this podcast it’s not their job to determine that. If there’s a disorder they’re not psychologists or psychiatrists . Could you imagine if they openly said hey we think you got an eating disorder what that would do? How do we know they did not talk to her off the side about it we don’t so take it for what it’s worth Don’t overcomplicate this podcast and assume they weren’t aware that there might be some disorder here. Peace out.
