I love how the first callers daughter looked at dad like “ugh you’re not paying attention to me”. Exactly how my daughter is every time I’m on the phone 🤣🤣

The first thing these guys should have started with was congratulating this dude. He dropped to 190 from 3 something.... Jesus don't drive past that. Great job for a busy dad

Eating whole food will make a difference. Six weeks out from competition I'll go all whole food eliminating the one protein powder meal I've had. I stay satiated in a deficit and have a full look too.

Ya'll missed him saying that the reason he had so many shakes is lack of prep time for meals due to his job. Should have given some tips there if possible.

Im 33yo, 172cm and went from 90kgs to 71kgs in maybe 2 months, coach increased my calories at that point and I got some muscles and now (6 months later) Im precisely where you talk about in video: I got new diet plan which is really big step up in calories, mostly protein, and Im a bit afraid to follow that because I dont want another 10 kilograms of weight but I guess I have to trust the process. Btw I thought for my entire life that getting in shape is way too hard, close to impossible and you have to dedicate half of your free time to it. Nope, it went pretty fast.

Fuck counting calories. I’m 70 hadn’t been in a gym in over 20 years. 2015 I was 298 and dropped to 245 - hard core carnivore, no exercise. Then Covid and I went back up to 260. Joined Planet Fitness end of February and for Lent cut out my 2 cups of daily coffee - cream and stevia and MOST carbs. I recently heard a Carnivore Doc recommend 1 G protein for each pound of your DESIRED weight. And for body healing 1 g FAT per gram of protein. My problem is trying to eat 190 G protein! Mostly 2 MAD - trying to work out 3 days- M W F - so on the way to the gym I stop at McDonald’s and order BOGO Quarter Pounder with cheese No bun. Total 60 grams protein, 80 fat. Taking it slow I do 3 sets cable exercises + 5 minutes rowing machine (🤬I just realized it was set at max resistance!) And as you said I put away the scales on Ash Wednesday until today- Easter. In 40 days I have trouble keeping my pants from falling down and dropped from 257 to 241. I’d love suggestions on how to get that protein up WITHOUT carb/chemical supplements.

Damn I’m at wits end. Eat clean. Weight lift 4 days a week. 2 days of cardio. On my cardio days I also do core work. I tried doing all this on 1500 calories a day. Felt like shit. You guys talk about reverse dieting. I trust what you say. So I upped my calories to 2500. So much easier to hit my macros. But that damn scale says I gained 5 pounds. DAMN. I do not eat sweets at all.in the past 2 years I went from 280 down to 240. But this is where I have been for a year now. 😮

Dieting , like medicine, is trial and error. You went from 1500 to 2500. That’s cool, maybe try somewhere in the middle like 2000-2200 and see if you’re gaining , losing, or maintaining. Then just make little adjustments

I have a 25-30 gr protein shake to up my protein when I don’t feel like eating….or on occasion when I get the munchies. This gives me 3 or 4 protein shakes in a week. My calories and protein come 80-90% from meat…mostly from beef.

Would this apply to shakes that are more pudding in nature? I add zero calorie pudding mix into my shakes, which really thickens them, to the point that a 100 g protein shake (pudding) has to be eaten over 2 meals.

How much protein from shakes is too much? I thought you guys had said shoot for over 50% from whole foods. I'm like 75% whole foods / 25% whey shakes.
