Hello thanks for the video ! I’m a French native speaker and I have a b1 level I understand you but I don’t understand the other natives.

C'est tout à fait normal! There are endless amounts of variations to the different accents of English. Understanding English speakers universally will come with lots of time and lots of experience. 📈

Hi, my English level is B2, and I want to take the IELTS. Should I study general English first or can I directly prepare for the IELTS exam? I have taken your English test and I got 42 score so my English level is between b1 and b2 I guess.
@ARCEnglish8 ай бұрын
You should directly prepare for the IELTS exam! During the exam, try your best to show off your range of vocabulary for the speaking part. Unfortunately, not everything on the exam translates into how native English speakers communicate in real life. But if you need it for travel / school purposes, you’ll need to study specifically for it.

@@ARCEnglish Okay, and if I want to attend university, I'll have to take the IELTS exam, right? I want to communicate like a native speaker in real life, but I understand that the IELTS exam can't fully prepare me for that. Another option is to immerse myself in the language by watching native speakers have conversations, listening to podcasts, and using platforms like Italki and Cambly to practice speaking with native speakers. Is that the best approach to reach my goal?
@ARCEnglish8 ай бұрын
@@MaryamAbid-fj9th Some universities require it and some don’t. But yes, if you consistently observe the way that native English speakers communicate and if you apply what you learn by speaking / communicating with others in some form, you will absolutely become a fluent English communicator. It’s just a matter of how long it will take, but it will absolutely begin to feel natural to you if you remain consistent!

If I understand this video 100% that you talk about . Does it means that I am getting fluency?
@ARCEnglish8 ай бұрын
For your listening skills, yes! However, to achieve 'full fluency' in English, you need to be able to efficiently use all of the other skills in tandem - the other skills being: reading, writing, speaking, grammar and vocabulary.
