This is a discussion to share our life experiences, debate on the causes, and how it can be resolved to an extent. Lady has a lot of talking points. However, she doesn't listen to respond. As men we have to pick our battles. A man recently died from a gun shot in the Us for defending a woman from her abusive boyfriend now he has left his own family without a father. I mean, I'm not asking you to ignore every wrong doings but you have to be logical before reacting. Great show.

If as women we invalidate the experiences of others because they belong to a certain group, I really can’t understand how we can expect sympathy in our own experiences. It’s sad that attack the good ones, who are sympathetic to our cause while the bad ones are left to hide. At some point the generality becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

As much as this topic was interesting I felt that Hausa chocolate was insensitive to the experiences of men, there were several moments she completely disregarded the abuse of men using terms like 'oops' is completely sweeping Murewa's experience of being punch for assisting a helpless girls by her partner. We want men to understand our experiences but will not reciprocate the same empathy! I do agree in gender roles and masculine energy but men do go through their own battles and we as women must allow men to be expressive and empathise with them. How can we expect men to come to our rescue if 'some of us' (Hausa chocolate) disregard or minimise their experience to little or nothing. Women go through a lot in terms of abuse, lack of protection but there is enough space to also allow men to open up too. PS, we also need to learn to listen to each other the amount of times the guest cut of the host and vis versa just goes to show the root of the problem!

In my opinion this was a great episode. She is very very honest and right and isn’t afraid to say her views. Everyone saying she’s not listening to the men aren’t actually listening to her. Men are in their own world. They really think the world revolves around them. I love this episode and I’m glad she wasn’t afraid to say exactly how so many women are feeling ❤️❤️

A conversation needs to be had about men's sexual abuse cause it seems a lot of women think it doesn't happen often. There are lot of brothers and uncles and fathers who were all touched by their aunties, female cousins and other older females but never said anything about it

It's tough being a woman & it's tough being a man. So if i see a girl getting drunk in a club, a full adult..i shoukd go & tell her to stop (so she doesn't stand the chance of being abused), girl wey no be me carry her komot...what if she insults me? Worst still i talk to her & i am being labelled misogynist for thinking her low..'if na man you go tell am make e no enjoy himself'? Long! I like her passion though & i get the general sense of her message.

This girl acts like there are no toxic female podcasts or talkshows. The men's podcasts is still a new space and yes there is toxicity within it but other men are trying to hold them accountable. It is not something i hear happens in the female space. It is like this chick wants everyone to pay the sins of a few Also, she only cares about being right and doesnt care about other people's viewpoints. She is the sort of person who generalizes about men and uses other people's experiences to argue. I want to see her on the honest bunch because they are better at calling out people's BS whether male or female. Murewa and Michael are too nice. Honestly, i feel sorry for whoever ends up with her because she has a rotten mindset Lastly, I remember watching a social experiment on youtube where a man was being abused by a woman and not a single person stopped her. Then they changed the scene and had a man abusing a woman, everyone rushed the man, some people started to beat up on him.

The whole checking behavior can go in a very different direction....you neva meet people wey dem no dey check before.... Me as a person...i respect women.... whenever I'm able to protect or defend a lady depending on the situation or the context that is surrounding that situation believe it... I'm jumping in to help but i also have to be careful and there are so many reasons why 1. For example there is a lady that you see..is obviously getting harassed by a man... First of all you don't know what their relationship is with each other basically you don't know who is whom to who and you're jumping in ....e fit just shock you I've jumped into that kind of situation before and the lady yabbed me and almost slapped me Note: This lady had a black eye from the guy beating her apparently the guy is her boyfriend.... apparently she doesn't want any help Doesn't need saving That situation could've gone in a very terrible direction for me. That situation still doesn't stop me from doing the right thing..but now... I'm more cautious than b4 Most guys don't even want to get involved in wahala...sef And you still say ehn oo They should educate their guys I personally I've done that to the guys that i know.. Are willing to listen to me but most guys believe me they'll look at you in a certain way and you'll even lose friendships that are important in your life... Or they start cutting you out of conversations or they all go silent when they see you coming from afar Tbh you can't generalize men like that The term "MOST MEN" is absolutely fine but bunching all men together haba na you make look like we are demons...kilodey... Murewa and Michael may never admit it...but those men were so uncomfortable there

I get where she’s coming from in terms of men confronting other men but I don’t think she understands that as women we might be able to do certain thing I.e openly confronting men that are misbehaving and get away with it but men can not. Yes many men could be abusers but very few men are “brave” enough to openly abuse a woman especially in this age of social media when they can easily be put on blast and even black listed. Advocacy is not just about fighting a cause but understanding other perspectives and other people’s capacities to help in your fight.

L guest.. don’t bring women that dislike men here. “Men are the oppressor” common mehn. Bruh it’s women that don’t have empathy, sympathy sure but empathy nope. This episode is terrible, how did menisms now become a male apologist show. Common guys challenge this braud. Her stats are wrong, false allegations do not account for 2% of claims, it is way more, check the stats.. not that we keep reliable stats in Nigeria. But common this braud just dislikes men. Also women don’t abuse men? Bruh what is this show?

I "feel" dis first few minutes from the beginning is not penned on a particular space but not explored on different aspects, because both gender has different experiences. As much as people are different i don't agree to "generalizing"is wrong because there are people in dis life who have not experienced such. Let people live how they know and what is best for them.

There are things that women do to the male gender that hurts too! a whole lot of things and they gist and giggle about it. Women are quick to say talk to you people you can’t be doing this to a woman but when it’s a woman doing it to a man it’s all camera lights in the air.

now here's a thing, to the lady if she sees the comment, Women have a hive mind, a connected opinion, women's opinion aren't that far apart from each other. so when you say something like "Educate your guys", it's DOable but, no guy that is NOT a molester or abuser would ever see the need to talk to an abuser like his words would do anything, men aren't moved by words and different men will do what they want based on their demography and life history. No support to the motion but no mere talking would end this, Men know the consequences of rape and molestation and abuse, whether the allegations are true or false and check your stats, the rate of rape is reduced because the community law that have developed close to or no tolerance for rape, so men know not to do these things because they clearly know that if they do or don't and the allegations are laid against them, they are done for. so the solution is law and consequence as answer to ignorance, there are evil men and there are evil women.... MEN ARE NOT A THREAT, BAD PEOPLE ARE!

Change the name of the podcast to THE OTHERS!! Because I don't understand this suggestion of "variety". She didn't come to converse but to defend women. There was no advice to how women should handle themselves in public or protect themselves. She loved her voice. She listened to reply and not to understand, which is common in our generation. Please vet who you guys bring to this podcast. If you don't want men to listen let us know early, so that we won't be waiting for the your guys every week. Literally, emasculated you guys. It's just sad.
