1. They don’t really hear you 2. They don’t learn you 3. They don’t respect you 4. They don’t support you 5. They don’t prioritize you 6. They don’t apologize or take responsibility for their actions 7. They don’t show consistent affection and care Solutions: 1. Communicate your feelings openly and honestly 2. Set clear boundaries and expectations 3. Seek couples counseling or therapy 4. Focus on self care and personal growth 5. Evaluate the relationship and consider your options

I totally know the feeling and I'm also 20 yrs in now and experiencing the exact same thing. Not listening, talking down to me, trying to make his self feel superior, attacking my spiritual beliefs, my family and all etc....He's been making his birth family more of a priority other than me and what family we may have wanted to create. So, you say EVERYBODY deserves and NEEDS to be heard. But I have a quandary regarding that belief (which, btw, I do share!). Just yesterday I was calmly explaining to my man that I didn't feel heard. And I thought I was handling this conversation very diplomatic, you know? Reminding him no one is to blame. We are both adult children of toxic parents and we are SAFE to learn and grow in OUR relationship with EACH OTHER. I reminded him that we will make mistakes or repeat learned behaviors along our path, and that's "okay" too...not okay okay, but okay in the sense that we can learn and grow from it. As im saying all this he is staring STRAIGHT AHEAD like an angry statue?! I'm like "Babe?!" And he goes "What?!" So I repeat most of all that. Especially the I DONT FEEL HEARD part because HELLO?! He appears to be not hearing me! And he turns to me and says "Why would I hear you when you don't hear me huh?" So I felt hopeful like this is a start....we can heal From this! So I said "OK! Thsnk you for sharing how you feel babe! Yes! Tell me more! In what ways am I not listening? Or how can I listen better?" And he goes "See right there! That BS! You won't 5hut up! You always talking! How can you hear if you talk!" So that was frustrating because like WHAT am I supposed to HEAR??? So I was like "im not trying to defy your wishes babe. I want to honor and respect your wishes-" He rolled his eyes and said "yeah but you DON'T LISTEN! You gon talk huh?!" I finished "-but I am so confused...you aren't really giving me good clarification here or direction. What do you WANT me to hear specifically? I want to hear you so bad. I want to know everything there is to know about you so I can support you best and-" 😒He just gives me this sour look and interrupts and says "You never LISTEN!!! LISTEN!" Then he starts talking about wives submitting to their husband's in the Bible...and how I yap yap yap and that's why he is so withdrawn because I'm not THAT Godly in his eyes if I can cherry pick which Biblical principles to apply to my life and behavior! It was hurtful, I won't lie. It shut me up, and it shut me down I cried all day yesterday! When I woke up yesterday I said it's gonna be a great day...but he ruined it with his energy. I don't get it. Am I really the problem? Will things really improve if I simply STOP ✋️ talking in his presence? Is this how I can best show him that I HEAR him??? 😢 🙏🏻 PLEASE Bishop...Help me! Help me understand? Ty! God bless you 🙏🏻 ❤️
@privacy917511 ай бұрын
I've got someone exactly like this. We DO listen. We DO.. There the one's who want "FULL CONTROL " Over us. It's Not love at all. Oh they tell us they love us. But it's "CONDITIONAL ". Using Biblical scripture is exactly what l was told. Woman are too Submit..That means too them: SHUT UP AND JUST LISTEN TOO ME..... Stop talking so much... In the end your going too lose who you are. Your end up,Depressed and your Self Esteem will be gone. That's the end result. Do yourself a favour....Stop it... Say whatever you want,when you want. If he and you've told him your concerns and he keeps not listening....MOVE ON.. Get someone that, REALLY LOVES YOU AND RESPECTS YOU. Cause what you have now is: CONTROL AND DISRESPECT....That's it... Control is NOT LOVE....❤ PS: You know your listening. Don't have ANYONE tell you your not when you KNOW you are...Ever....
