That's not how you do straight bar lacing with 5 lace holes. You've hidden the laces so it doesn't show the left lace only threads to the 4th hole and the right one goes to the 5th. This will look silly when laces are tied and it will apply diagonal pressure when tightened.

This will definitely call more attention to your shoes. especially if you grew up in the '90s! I'm going to assume that you're just showing people a really cool way to lace your red laces. You have no other motive than that maybe wear some slim jeans and some matching suspenders. how about a bomber jacket too? EDIT: I checked out the rest of your content. I'll just throw a PSA in for people. back in the '80s and '90s, if you laced your Doc martens with red laces in a bar like fashion, or otherwise, people would assume that you were a Nazi skinhead. Nazi skinhead. I don't think that most of your followers are looking for that particular look. maybe lace your boots this way with a cool different color. just not red.
