The bubble burst. Niche websites are still a thing, but the gravy trainers have gone .

Should travel sites narrowed down to one city or town be targeted at a broader audience, or should they be narrowed down to only locals, expats, or tourists? Especially when discussing Europe with its different languages.

@@woland7565 - do you mean from a Google SEO standpoint or for the end user? I’d say we should do whatever we want, whatever makes the most sense. We don’t need permission and there are no gate keepers

@@DougCunnington This has nothing to do with gatekeeping. First of all, I mean from the user's point of view, of course, but at the same time, user intent impacts Google SEO. Some user intent overlaps for locals, expats, and tourists, but there is a lot of important topics and keywords intended for different user categories. For example, in recent years, many parts of Europe have seen an influx of refugees and expats from Russia and Ukraine. Their search intent in a particular city most likely overlaps with expat search intent, not with tourists. This affects what content you write and how you structure your local niche website if you want to reach this particular group of users.

Well, it is still a hot item ... but things changed. People are now doing SaaS, Apps and a variety of other stuff. POD is on the rise in some spheres too. YT , TikTok .. fb groups and so on. .. but I am glad to see you promoting this travel concept idea.
