Launching and loading your boat can be challenging...even for the most experienced anglers. In this video I show you how I load and unload my Bass Tracker Pro Team 175. This is the unconventional way to do it, though I find it to be a much easier and more efficient process.
As always, thank you for your continued support. I appreciate you guys and gals!!

@@packattack1762before you back your boat down the ramp, take the straps off in back, make sure your drain plug is in, have your boat already loaded with any gear you're bringing. That appears to be the biggest complaint at boat ramps, and the majority of boat ramps will have a staging area to prepare before you get to the ramp. After you load the boat, immediately pull out to a clear area where you are going to unload your boat and prepare it for the drive home. If you're new to boating, do not rush and make a checklist

Most people spend 30k on a boat and fish twice a year. Don't worry about "most people". My grandfather loaded his 18' tri-hull for as long as I can remember just like this. He fished nearly every weekend.

Thank you for posting this video! New boat owner here, first launch, piece of cake, loading.... not so much. Took several attempts to get it on the trailer, and then after pulling away, noticed the boat was off center in the back. Wife and I went out yesterday, and decided to use your rope method for loading and it went 100 times better for me! Was so easy and fast, boat sat on the trailer perfectly! Thanks again!

Failure to center is often a result of backing in too far. You only need about half the bunks underwater on carpeted bunks for most V-hull boats.

I use a bit longer rope - 40’ - and tether it to my hitch in front of the ball. I unhook the boat strap BEFORE my feet ever get wet, back in, STOP abruptly, when the boat clears the trailer, I pull forward until the trailer is out of the water. I stop and then take the rope off its tether point and pull the boat in and tie it off or dock it. When I load out, I always back in where my feet can stay dry, pull the boat on, lean over and hook up the strap, climb down my easy-steps and crank it up the last 6 inches. Get in the vehicle and pull it to complete tie down process. Dry feet on the way home=PRICELESS!

Best launch & load I've seen yet. I've always tied my rope tether to the boat cleat but will clip to the bow eye from now on. And always drove onto the trailer, and you're right, getting off the boat onto the trailer was always a risk. One word of warning, I have a Tacoma and put my tailgate down like that prior to making the tight turn to get the truck pointed the right direction to back the boat in, and the top of my tailgate now has two dent/puncture marks where the winch handle made contact. I leave the tailgate up until the truck is facing the right direction and ready to back down the ramp. Something else I learned is after taking the strap off the boat, you want the winch handle down low so it's out of the way as the boat floats off and the rope plays out from the truck bed, otherwise the rope can get fouled up in the winch handle. Everything else I do just like you did it. I can get the boat in or out in about 90 seconds now. Nice video.

Looking at getting one again when things settle out - so I just keep looking at a lot of different things and came across this and watched to see if I could pick up a hint or two... this for sure is helpful. Especially if people watching have NEVER had to single hand something. Perfect execution in my opinion. 👍🏼 Hopefully anyone who watched remembers the most important hint - check that PLUG 3x. Hahaha. I've used this method many, many times. It's a necessary method on smaller lakes that do not allow you to use your outboard. Your meticulous attention to the step by step process in order to facilitate a flawless execution is not only appreciated but also admired. All the newbies should be grateful they found this no nonsense, educational video. However this method is a mega bitch on a windy day 🤣

It's rougher on the boat and harder to jump on off the trailer. Rope is so easy and use the winch for what it's made for

Thank you for this specific video. Ive had my boat for 4mo considered power loading but feel more comfortable this way. Glad I'm not the only one. Question, when winter comes what waders/boots are you using for this?

When your backing start out straight. Watch your mirrors both sides (not the rear view on the windshield) Which ever side you see more boat on, turn towards its. Think of backing it straight and turn towards your trouble. More boat on the left, turn the wheel to the left. More boat to the right, turn to the right. Just turn towards your trouble. 😉

If I may. If you noticed in the video, Junky has his tail gate down. I cannot tell you enough how much this will help you to learn to back your boat down a ramp. And when you go to recover your boat, it helps to see the trailer. I do it all the time.

Yup....tailgate open...mirrors....boat left steer left...boat right steer right...put in NEUTRAL...that is the KEY....slow and control.

Don't you have people picnicking at your boat ramp?Seems like every time I load and unload my boat there are half a dozen people with coolers setting by the ramp just to watch. My boat is to heavy to winch on that far so I need to power load mine. 95% of the time I am by myself so we all need our routine to make it easier. Thanks for sharing yours.

I have watched multiple videos, and this way by far is not only the easiest solo launch, but since there is always a rope connected to the boat, I'd say even in windy weather it's functional. Subscribed

one suggestion for folks to consider..... having had a serious back and knee injury. i had to come up with fail safes in many things. for my boat, i designed a simple later that attaches to my trailer. it simply slides into place for use. and folds up and stores on the boat very nicely :) also replaced the wench with an electric one. i can literally pull my boat out while barely getting my trailers wheels wet, lol...
