where did you get the fabric from? one roll?
@mrpush2532 Жыл бұрын
How wide is that fabric please? and did they crown the driveway? And did you $15 k include the stone?
@tomeuler1979 Жыл бұрын
So as its been noted, when you have experience, you can lay that gravel down the driveway as thick as you'd like it. 3", 4", 6"... just set your tailgate chains, which your boy didn't, and control depth w speed. Too easy. When i do it, you dont need a tractor and you can barely see where one load stops and the next load starts.😁😎

Looking good, where did you purchase the fabric underlayment if you don't mind me asking?
@GenerationAcresFarm3 жыл бұрын
Of course! Whitlock brothers, which is a construction supply store

@@GenerationAcresFarm I don't know. I prefer a paved road. Gravel roads are noisy and the rocks get stuck in my tire tread.

Sorry if I missed it . What kind of stone did you use for this project .
@GenerationAcresFarm2 жыл бұрын
great question, we used crushed concrete with brick mixed in(that's why it has that red color to it)

That is the worse tailgating of stone along a driveway I have seen. Must have been a new driver. The experienced drivers can lay down a fairly consistent layer until the truck is empty.

Yep they were new drivers 🫣

how much was it to have the top soil layer removed?

He had said the estimates were $10-15 per foot at 1000 feet

Beautiful driveway. When you say $10 to $15 a foot. Is that linear foot or square foot? How wide was your driveway?
@GenerationAcresFarm Жыл бұрын
Good question, I’ll ask Scott
@HockeyCraig Жыл бұрын
$15,000 for linear. $120,000 for SF. (assuming 8ft wide). Answer: It's linear.

We hired someone to operate the machinery but we did everything else ourselves and we orchestrated the whole thing.
