Layering a quilt is one the fundamentals that we all need to learn in quilting, but one of the BIG struggles newbies have is layering without those dreading wrinkles.
So in this tutorial I've shown you how to do exactly that with my own fool proof method of layering without the wrinkles, using basting spray.
I know there are other methods of layering a quilt and holding those layers together whilst you quilt, but to me, this is the easiest and quickest and the method I use to pretty much guarantee zero wrinkles.
If you like basting with needle and thread, this vid may not be for you, but if you like spray basting, you're new to quilting or you're looking for alternatives to your current method, this may be the perfect answer!
Hope it helps.

Now can you demo with a double bed size quilt. Not so easy.

Absolutely, as soon as I have one to demo on I will (I have a couple on my quilting pile at the moment); the same method applies, but yes, you'll need a bigger space and so it's more challenging. This is one of the reasons why I don't recommend beginners start with full sized quilts, because they are difficult to handle. I have a lot of people asking how to layer without the wrinkles, and as I happened to be teaching this particular table runner recently, I was trying to help those in my community who had been asking.

Why do they always do these demos on a scrap of fabric , not a real size quilt ? any one can spray a small patch of fabric.

Hi Sharon, 'They' are real people who care about their audience and students. generally spending 5 hours a week per video for free in order to help people. This was a full size table runner and measured 60" x 45"; it was not a scrap of fabric. As I happened to be teaching my in person students the method behind how to layer, and as I had been asked by my online community how to do it, I recorded this to demonstrate. When I next have a bed sized quilt available, I will demo on that too; however exactly the same principles apply.
