I did 5 layers, and it was ALL wrong, but still super cute, what I did wrong before even watching your video was that I layer all thick pieces on top of each other, instead of separating them like you did here, thank you for showing me where I went wrong

Hi Neisha, great video! Am going to be starting some multi-layered iron-on's. It's really good to know not to hit the layers with the full 30 seconds and heat. Thanks for the great advice!!!

Thanks so much. Go to Design Bundles and search for the year you’re looking for and hopefully you can find it. Or if you found the year I have then click under “crated by” and click on the name of the creator to see more of their work. Happy crafting.

I think the most layers I’ve done is 4, and I was practicing trying to figure out the process. I of course experienced several overlapping by mistake. Lol. I am trying to understand how to create my base foundation bottom patterns to use as my guides. It’s not happening for me so I’m watching trying to learn how to make it. Great video…easy to follow.

I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I find the easiest way to make the base layer is to select all your other layers at once and then create an offset. Some designs may already have a base layer or may be simple enough that you don’t need to create one at all. Keep practicing and you’ll keep getting better but 4 layers is still very impressive! Happy crafting!

@littlecraftnest thanks for additional information and I will try that technique on my current project to assist with lining up my different layers. Question: when using puff htv, should it be the last layer?
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest Жыл бұрын
Yes I would do the puff layer last.

I'm glad it was so helpful. The pink thing is a nail polish holder. You can find it here Nail Polish Holder: amzn.to/3Y1cHNK (amazon affiliate link). It's one of my must have items that I show in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioSTmmqBid2SfpY

What is the thing called that you cut the vinyl with in the beginning? It looks so much easier that just scissoring it all uneven.

Cricut calls it a portable trimmer. You can find it here with other tools cricut.pxf.io/c/3575984/1253601/15311?prodsku=2008760&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcricut.com%2Fen-ca%2Ftools-accessories%2Fhandheld-tools%2Fcrafting-tools%2Fessential-tool-set%2F2008760.html&intsrc=PUI2_9492 (affiliate link)

Hi, thank you for the video! I've tried doing some layer iron ones and when I remove the vinyl from the mat, sometimes the letters will stick to the mat or they fall out of the whole picture and I'm stuck putting letter by letter on the project. How do I prevent that and have my letters all stay on the iron on clear sheet together like yours did? Thanks!
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest Жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the video. Sounds like your pressure on your machine is too high. Try the iron-on setting with less pressure and see if that helps. If it’s still cutting all the way through your material I’d call Cricut support because there is something wrong with the pressure. You can also make your own custom settings which I explain in this video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIaqeq2Bf96UpM0si=F99xsIvKAKfZrLVD Happy Crafting

Hi, thank you for the video. I'm still struggling, my son wants a shirt, the image has 12 layers in Maker 3, so I understand how to cut each color. However the image has a palm tree, which is on each layer...so I do I prevent it from cutting the palm tree 12 times? Are there some images that won't work with HTV ?
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest 6 ай бұрын
You can delete the layers you don’t want or edit them to remove the palm trees but I wouldn’t recommend putting 12 layers on top of each other. Instead I would use printable HTV - flatten all the layers together and do print then cut. Here is my latest printable HTV video kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3e8ZGZ-oteXjK8si=ZwAXsq88y-yBysP-

Does this end up feeling too thick because of all the layering?
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest 6 ай бұрын
There is really only 2 layers on top of each other so it doesn't feel bulky on a sweater but if you were using a thinner t-shirt material it may feel a little bulky.
