It was my wife's Christmas gift to me, a carving set of knives and the book of whittling 24 easy projects that brought me here and honestly it has begun to feel so wonderful doing it that I wish to keep going and getting better. Great video, fun explanation. One tip for you, Doug. To get a better effect on the eyes, add a dry brush with grey or dark tan to the upper eyelid. You will find that this makes his 'stare' much softer. I really enjoy your videos. Thanks to you I have been whittling almost every day for the last 6 months. so much fun
