David, Thank you so much, I've been trying forever to get multi-tracking on my DGX660. I'm an old (80) Rock& Roll piano player, been playing all my life always on the real thing, recently my best friend Mrs Gus. She told me she had bought me a 660 Yamaha, I'm a Harley man, but I thought I'll give it a go, she said it's in the workshop, I thought she's made a mistake she meant a Yamaha XT660R with overhead cams and a supercharger. I opened my workshop door to see the keys, haft an hour later WOW. and six months later playing left-hand bass and blowing it all through a "Hiwatt 100Watt" and a 15" speaker, what I've been missing all these years but I couldn't get to layering, but thanks to you it's now a piece of cake, I can't say how grateful I am to you. Wonderful tutorial. I've learned in (less than) 6 minute more than one year of study the book.... :) Is any place where I can find (ask) more about Yamaha DGX660? Like. . programming, recording ? How can I correct/erase a single track from those? Or .... How to remove metronome/pause from the (beginning) recoded loop? Anyway, thanks for this simple, clear and straight explanations!

Very nice presentation. I own this keyboard and the new Korg and Roland. The Yamaha is still my favorite Piano even though it is a few years older. I learned a lot, but I needed a refresher on saving to the memory stick. Thank you.

Hey, really enjoyed the tutorial. But what I can't seem to do is play back the user songs once I've recorded them in a different session. When I turn on the piano again, and go to file control, and select user song 1 or 2 ect. I can't get it to then play the song or do anything. I also can't figure out how to do it in the manual.

Having trouble with this. When playing back, I can hear the multiple voices recorded, although when saving to USB, only one voice (usually the Natural! Grand) stays in the track, while the other is muted. How can I get all tracks to transfer?

I wonder whether you've transferred the MIDI track rather than the .wav file? - difficult to tell. Try a soft reset if nothing else works and try again.

@@ePianoscouk The .wav file doesn't hold the additional voice, but I was first trying with the MIDI track. Listening to it on the piano itself doesn't reproduce the additional voice either, even directly after recording. The piano is relatively new, so I don't think I've flipped the wrong settings and broken something yet, but at the same time, I can't seem to find any answers online for this

Great video! Is there a way to record in layers to an audio (WAV) recording, or is this only possible for MIDI recordings?

I think the best way to do that would be to convert in adobe audio from the flash drive. If i'm doing a really nice soundtrack. I record one at a time and transfer it to adobe where I can control sounds and volumes. takes a little longer but sounds great.

I'd like to record a "UserSong" of myself playing a song WITH the Style feature (#180). Can't figure out how to do it! Seems like this should be an obvious thing to do, but after searching online, it seems the option doesn't exist...?
