Hey...saw your reels on insta and really loved your content.. ❤️❤️ just wanted to ask is double cleansing necessary even if we don't put makeup on..
@LaurenJanelle2 жыл бұрын
thank you, that's so nice of you! :) I think double cleansing is necessary everyday because it helps take off our sunscreen (that we're hopefully wearing everyday too)

I know I’m late but… questions 1: Where does the chemical exfoliant come in play? 2: For eye cream stage can I use a eye cream that will help with dark circles instead of hydration etc…. 3:Can I use more than one serum at a time?

Hi! I just found your channel after seeing a reel on Instagram. You’ve inspired me to revamp my whole skincare routine! I already purchased the Laneige Cream Skin Toner and I LOVE it. I wanted to ask if there are any other cleansing balms you would recommend?

hi great video :3! I was wondering if niacinamide or zinc is considered an active ingredient? When incorporated into the routine when should I use it? Also would pairing a chemical exfoliant with this ingredient or active ingredients in general in the same routine would be okay? And how many times should a chemical exfoliant be used? I use The Ordinary niacinamide 10%zinc serum!

Hey just a question..when do i use chemical exfoliant? Before or after toner? Great video! Love love your skin! Bought a toner as soon i saw some of ur reels on instagram haha! Thankyouuu ❤️❤️
@LaurenJanelle2 жыл бұрын
ahhh I'm so glad to hear you got a toner! Love that for you :) Chemical exfoliants are usually the toner step or sometimes the serum step.

Can you pls tell us more about chemical and physical exfoliation and how and when to use it and i am in my early teens so are there any actives i should avoid other then retinol
@LaurenJanelle2 жыл бұрын
Other than retinol, I think all the other actives are ok to use for teens! I really like BHA especially for clogged pores. The Glow Recipe bha watermelon toner is good for sensitive skin because it also makes your skin dewy! I used to use a lot of physical exfoliation but then I discovered the magic of chemical exfoliants. Chemical ones are less abrasive if you use them correctly too! Physical exfoliation comes after double cleansing, but sometimes the exfoliation can be in your second water based cleanser. As for chemical exfoliation, it's usually in the toner or serum step :)

Needed this video!! Have a question about sunscreen. I find it hard to find one that is first of all cheap but also good and that doesn’t smell so much of sunscreen! Do u recommend any sunscreen that doesn’t smell and doesn’t sit on your face like a thick layer?
@LaurenJanelle2 жыл бұрын
Thank you sm for watching! An affordable sunscreen that I used to use a lot is the all good kids sunscreen! I liked that it has no white cast and the smell was very minimal. Some sunscreens I'm really liking now are the Kinship self reflect, Zitsticka megashade, and josie maran sun milk :)

So I also despise makeup wipes 🤪 but i’ve been using micellar water and cotton pads. do you still recommend an cleansing balm or oil cleanser instead?
@LaurenJanelle2 жыл бұрын
great question! I don't mind a micellar water but I find that a cleansing balm/oil is much more gentle and hydrating on the skin. I would try to transition out if you can!

thank you so much for the video it was so thorough and clear i just have a concern about layering so many products, don’t they mix on your mix ? and doesn’t it feel weird to have several layers of products ? ive always felt weird putting as much a cream for blemishes and a moisturizer so even though i want to apply the routine you presented i just fear how it’s going to feel ? or maybe do you wait a certain time for all the products to be fully impregnated ? again thank you for the video
@LaurenJanelle2 жыл бұрын
totally understand those concerns! Typically the products that I like to layer a lot (toners, serums, etc) have a very watery consistency so they sink into the skin really nicely and don't get too thick. For the routines I talked about here, I usually wait maybe 5-10 seconds before applying the next layer and it seems to be ok! For the blemish cream, you only need really little on specific spots, so it won't get cakey :)

My problem is that I live in Europe and many products you show are from us and it's a struggle cuz i can't find them anywhere in my country even on online shops and the shipping price is way too high so I end up not buying anything lol 🥲
