Bhai as a beginner animator I can say ki Bhai ne bahot research kiya hai ❤. Maine Uni ke session mei suna tha ki "Ek animator ko motivation ki nahi, descipline, dedication & practice ki zarurat hoti hai". Agar gadget nahi hai accha toh bhi, practice traditionally, camera angles ko sikho, color theory sikho, emotions convey karna sikho, anatomy sikho, pre production ka kaam 50 % kaam aasaan kar deta hai. Fir banate rehna digitally, agar basic strong ho toh. ✌

There's one thing i would like to clear up here tho if you want to get into anime industry its not that hard you need to improve your drawing skills and learn basics of animation like how to do walk cycle grasp a sense of timing and spacing you can then join industry as a nigen (2nd key animators or dougaman (in betweener) in anime industry these two jobs also serve as training for animiators as you are given keys of a experienced key animator to trace and you begin to improve from there

I'm also learning 2d animation at home😅, I use toon boom software for animation and Adobe after effects for visual effects. And yeah you are right gravity falls and Ben 10 are good to take reference. I follow gravity falls's style.

Suggestion - start with pixelart animation you will learn alot things ki art theory and more creativity

if you really want to do animation , the truth is ( many would be sad ) you can not do it alone ....for now Ai is making things easier i think in 3-4 years things would get pretty good , if really want to tell your story , you can go for manga\manhwa ---webtoon you just need good drawing for it JUST GOOD DRAWING and you can use blender for poses , i am a low level 3d artist what i have planned is that (after getting in college) i would learn sculpting and rigging -blender stuff , carve out the character as i think it should be , in 3d , color it and then use lineart modifier to make a 2d image from 3d model , repair some anomalies by hand and make a comic , webtoon of sorts although black and white as is ----beast burn (---go read it ) enhace it by AI ? color by AI ? i don't know may be possible in future but yeah that is basically my plan i think i would make 500 chap long webtoon/manga if it has good response then hand it over to some studio ,,,,if not then finish it there and then ----better write my novel first plz tell me your opinions --would love to listen from ya all

Frist of all 2d require skills, it's not like 3d which is most of the time technical. Start to focus more on hand drawn or frame by frame animation from start, don't go for riggs or tween. Their are three major steps in animating a scene : 1 key animation frames, 2 breakdown and 3 inbetween. The key frame part and most of the time breakdown part is done using frame by frame or hand drawn, it is inbetween part that is done using riggs or tween or frame by frame . So focus on frame by frame animation, and also don't fall in software hell, use pencil 2d , it's simple and get the job done, it's only 50 mb around, don't go directly for adobe suite, if you are going for permanent job in 2d field then go for tv paint or harmony depends on your preference later on. And drawing for animation is different than normal drawing , the most important skill you have to focus is to rotate 2d shapes on 3d space, perspective and basic anatomy. Don't go for portriat drawing or realistic drawings. Don't be trapped on software hell, I will say it one more time, use simple software first most of project don't require these fancy software. And if you are buying a course then choose a course which will teach you skill not software.
