Nope! It's not always pretty. Just a seek-and-find note version! Everyone will find a process that works for them. You've just got to dive in and not be afraid to get dirty!

I watched this video 3 years ago and could not figure out the melody at all. Couldn't hear if notes were going up, down, or staying the same. Today I watched it again and after 3 years of practicing scales, chords, strums and learning to listen more carefully, I was easily able to find the melody. Patience and persistence have paid off.
