I speak English and Afrikaans but i love Arabic, I learn Arabic from the Qur'an. ALLAH is my teacher😊 I hear the Arabic word and see what it means in English and before I know it, I know the entire sentence, when I hear a word or words in arabic from the Qur'an , i know what it means. Amazing. Just listen to Arabic and English audio every day as you go about your day. Do one surah over and over.. Arabic is THE most beautiful language in the universe. ALLAH is beauty. I was born speaking Arabic, but my love did not stop only at being able to understand and speak. I read many, many books and novels. There are truly many Arab writers. This method helped me memorize a large number of vocabulary and words And the way I think: I am now learning English and I really hope to master it. I watch many KZbin clips and podcasts, and my teacher helps me outside of school. Also, the school teacher explains the grammar well. I hope to learn many languages and I get to know many civilizations and I also love traveling. I want to travel to most countries in the world and write my experiences in a book. Do you mean that you can pronounce and read the text but you do not understand what it says? This isn't the point of learning a language. What use is there for this? When you read the Quran in Arabic, how much do you actually understand? Do you only know it in Arabic?

The use my friend is the Qurán itself, as it is the word of Allah, reading it is a virtue in and of itself, literally understanding the text and its grammatical composition is a higher level, and even then you'll find words that are more complex and will need an Arabic dictionary's aid to understand it, what you read in other languages is not the Qurán but a translation of it, so to correct you : you don't read the Qurán in Arabic, rather the Qurán is the Arabic text, the rest are merely translations of it, and thus the latter will defer while the former is identical to the dot, plus FYI understanding the Quránic Arabic does not necessitate being able to communicate the language freely as it is unique and also blessed by Allah to make it easier for people to learn and memorize, try listening to a Qurán recitation and Arabic news channel for example, you'll immediately feel the difference even though you don't speak the language. @@Nexus-jg7ev

Bonjour, miss Zoe, actually I'm a Filipino and an arabic learner I'm using Duolingo for a month and also I was enjoying the process of learning Arabic and so as a grammar. In my school, my favorite subject is English before I didn't know the grammar and what is grammar. When I grow I realized the grammar I didn't before was my favorite subject in English. When I'm grade 10 the grammar remove in English so we learned about research so I'm so sad. So I adjust. When I my teacher open up the grammar I was always recite to her and also she appreciates me the most. So I have a skill in grammar when it comes to grammar my critical thinking is moving because I can analyze the paragraph. When I learning french I'm so happy because the grammar appears in french that's why I never giving up and also when I translate the sentence I understood the grammar of Arabic even no one taught about the grammar in Arabic. I discovered I have a critical thinking that I can learn grammar without teaching me about the grammar. Before I'm just learning a french, then I add 3 languages such as, Spanish, Arabic, and Hebrew. Unfortunately I stop learning Hebrew because I was struggling how to read Hebrew without a vowels when I learning using Duolingo. So I remove and focus in 3 languages. Now I'm not struggling to learn 3 languages because I can maintain them. But my problem is the pronunciation in Arabic. I want you to help me to learn the pronunciation in Arabic. Because I'm dedicated and willing to put an effort in my 3 languages. And also I have a purpose. My technique to learn 3 languages at once is to enjoy the process. I'm doing meditation and visualization to manifest my goals. I'm hoping you will notice if not it's ok because I try to seek help from you. Thank you for uploading about Arabic. I appreciate you miss Zoe.

Thank you, Zoe, for this video! I, too, have been curious about how you went about learning Arabic. I totally agree that it's important to learn the Arabic alphabet and that acquiring the language through input is really key. But I'm basically doing things in the reverse order of you. I'm studying Levantine Arabic (which is a big task in and of itself with the amount of linguistic diversity in that small region!) and maybe one day I'll learn Fusha (if I need to). But there is so much Fusha in Syrian and Jordanian Arabic that I don't think it will be hard to one day learn how to understand the formal language. And most of my iTalki teachers are great about telling me if a word/expression/grammar point comes from MSA, so I actually already know a lot about it. I mean, this is the way that native speakers learn Arabic--first dialect and then formal language in school. . . Thank you for the study plans and resources! Some of the resources are new to me. Best wishes!

Do not worry about the dialects. All Arabs understand classical because it is the first thing we learn, and then we learn the dialect of our country
@rashidah9307
@rashidah9307 6 ай бұрын
@@MrF.S No, it's the opposite. You learn your dialect first at home from your family and then you go to school and learn Fusha, right? And, to me, the most important thing about communication in a foreign language is being able to understand the other person in the conversation. . . Few people go around speaking Fusha, so you will not understand people, even if they understand you. And many people will not feel comfortable with you if you do not speak to them in a colloquial style.

Your Arabic is very good Zoe! Well done on all the work you have put in to learning one of the most difficult languages out there! One thing to note is that in Arabic each syllable gets the same vocal attention as the other in pronunciation. So clarity is important as subtle changes in pronunciation can completely change the meaning. When you say alma3ani in the middle of the video, referring to the book title (the meaning), make sure to extend the AA ni part of the word not just emphasize the deep throat A (3) sound. I have to say your Arabic is impressive!

@Asiandramas99 its a definitely not my field or area to say anything about it I recommend you to watch only the very first video of nouman ali khan traching arabic The one he teaches to kids It explains the classic arabic (fusha) is a part of the Quran language but the Quran doesnt only contain fusha
@kenkaneki9138
@kenkaneki9138 5 ай бұрын
@@Asiandramas99 Today's fusha Arabic is indeed the same as Arabic at the time when Quran was revealed. However, Fusha Arabic is not entirely like Quranic Arabic because of the vocabulary, a native Arab who speaks fusha Arabic might not understand some of the words used in the Quran because its not used anymore. Arabic when the Quran was revealed had like a thousand words for the word Camel and all the words are slightly different, modern Arabs who speak fusha will only know very few of those words and will have to look into a dictionary. Arabic is difficult even for Arabs, it has endless number of words and its grammar is even more endless. Arabic grammar is one of the hardest subjects in school for most Arabs.

Thanks for the video Zoe! I’ve studied the Arabic language by myself for 2 years and it was amazing. I really recommend the book publisher Lingualism, in general I didn’t find a lot of material for Arabic but this publisher always puts out amazing and interesting books. Also the hardest part in Arabic is definitely the dialects. I’ve learned the Levantine dialect, hearing and understanding different dialects is hard but possible.

My language is Urdu and Urdu language has 80% Arabic and 20% Persian words. Apart from this, there is a lot of emphasis on the teaching of Arabic grammar in religious schools in Pakistan. And the Arabic word Zeena(زينة) in Urdu Zeenat(زینت) gives the sence of Adornment.something to be proud of.And the meaning changes if you add or reduce a letter to the word and the word is translated by looking at the place in the sentence.
