How to Learn Blender in 2025!

guys i started blender in lockdown, my advice, 1 or 2 copy tutorials. work towards a long term project; it will force you to look up tutorials for specific challenges. make sure your excited about the project your making. take it slow & easy untill it becomes a habit you cant stop!

As someone just learning Blender, I gotta say I don't really recommend BlenderGuru's donut tutorial. I found it all over the place, not really focused and at the end I didn't really retain a lot of what he went over. I found myself sort of lost and wanting to just start over with other tutorials.

Bloom dissapeard, now its on compositing tab! Thats what I hate about blender, they update too quickly, interface changes and previous assets you made wont work on the newer version.

nope.. sure it's powerful and has lots of features, but as long as blender insists on having such a goddamn horrendously unapproachable user experience... I'll keep using software that doesn't damage my mental health

What do you mean, the user experience is really good, you have to learn the software at the beginning and that is true for any other software it's not like you open Maya and you know everything

@@legendboyAni it's not like I can't use it.. but it suffers from the same problem most opensource software suffers from.. and that is a huge reason for the lack of adoption in many areas..now, you can pretend it's not an issue as much as you want.. but if it wasn't an issue the adoption would be far far wider.. and no I don't use maya anymore either

They have been working on improving their interface for many years and it's way better and easier to use than when I first used it like 12 years ago. I can't wait until they get all the animation reworks in. Though so much change can be annoying as I have to relearn how to use it a lot when they move stuff everywhere. There is never a better time to know it but now.
