Χρόνια Πολα Αλεξάνδρα μας .I started learning Greek completely from zero 2 and half years ago.I’m self learning on budget. Today I’m on advanced level,exactly how you’ve explained in the video I could understand you lesson almost in full .To learn new language means learn in stages and achieve goals.Although I went to Greece 2 times I didn’t speak much Greek. So I can say that you can learn language without going to the country.Of course it helps but it’s not necessary!My tip is to start with vocabulary especially from mini Greek dictionary- that why you’re only learning most common words used.If you are bit advanced always use stop button when playing videos.

Τι έκπληξη Αλεξάνδρα μου!❤ Στην αρχή έμαθα και λεξιλόγιο και γραμματική παράλληλα, μου αρέσει η γραμματική, δεν με τρομάζει.😃 Άκουγα τραγούδια, έβλεπα κινούμενα σχέδια στα ελληνικά, άκουγα ραδιόφωνο, έβλεπα ταινίες με αγγλικούς υπότιτλους, μετά χωρίς. Από τον Απρίλιο είμουν στο Conversational club και από τον Ιούνιο στα Webinars. Τα μαθήματα είναι πολύ διαφορετικά, με διάφορα υλικά, και πολύ σημαντικό, μια διασκεδαστική ομαδική ατμόσφαιρα.

One thing which I can't learn properly is the difference between "katalaveno" (I understand) and "katalaves ?" (do you understand). Every time I hear "Katalaves" it sounds like "katalaDes" (greek d, delta). I've heard this since childhood.

Όταν μιλάω νιώθω ότι δεν είμαι σίγουρος σε αυτό που μιλάω σωστά και πώς το μιλάω - γιατί? Σχεδόν όταν έχω ελεύθερο καιρό βλέπω μια ταινία με ελληνική υπότιτλους, έτσι έμαθα νέα λέξεις. I’m confused. How can someone watch this and learn Greek if they don’t know the language? You should either speak English or have English subtitles. That’s how language lessons are taught.

In every single ''speaking greek'' video on my channel , you can find greek and english subtitles. Also in the description box , there is a link which leads to the subtitles in both languages. So you can take them for free and you can print them, save them . If you look in my playlists , you 'll find one which is called ''Greek speaking videos''. There you'll see all my videos where I spek Greek and always I have subtitles. Especially in this video, 2 times , you 'll see this sign 👉 CC , which means : subtitles available!
