Its also recommended to learn new languages simultaneously with the help of immersion ofcourse because learning one will be quite tedious so while learning one, can learn a next and then your brain get used to it

I'm high A2 in English (maybe low B1 in vocabulary, writing and reading (silently)). My weakest skills are speaking and listening. I want to start French now and add Spanish in may (I'm Brazillian and Spanish is similar to Portuguese) and German in july. What do you think about it? And do u have some tips for me?? Note.: I work and study other things also and I don't know if I learn things in normal pace or slow. I knew your channel today haha
@siasea_lang4 күн бұрын
@@adayld Thank you for your comment! These are quite ambitious goals in my opinion, so you should realistically evaluate how much time you would be able to dedicate to each language. French and Spanish have some similarities too so it’s good not to start them at the same time. I would first set my priorities about the languages I want to learn and my reasons for that, and of course about other things in life. After that, I’d maybe remove one of the languages cause it’s really hard to start learning new languages within such a short time frame. I’d focus on English more, add French and maybe start Spanish once I’m at least solid A2 in French. (You can substitute languages in order of importance for you). And good job on watching videos in English even though you’re not advanced yet, this will definitely help you 😊

@@siasea_lang I want to dedicate an average of 30 minutes in each language, but dedicate more to one in a specific month. Because I need to study IT as well and dedicate myself to solve other things. I have never liked English haha, I'm learning because I need it. But now, I'm excited about other languages and I'd like to be able to hold on to basic conversations at least in each language. But I know it isn't easy, I almost give up English many many many times haha Maybe what it will scare me more it's German. That's why I asked you for tips. Btw, thanks in advance! 🙂
@siasea_lang4 күн бұрын
@ My best tip here is to understand that while language learning is exciting and interesting, it’s also hard at the same time, so make sure not to overwhelm yourself. As long as you don’t demand too much of yourself, you’re good. Plus, don’t worry about whether you’re studying fast enough. If you’re doing it for yourself, just go at your own pace and enjoy your journey. If you have 2 hours a day to dedicate to your goal I think you’re good 👍😊

I'm assuming you are native in both Russian and Ukrainian? I think I'm A1 or low A2 in Russian at the moment and would like to add Ukrainian as well but should perhaps wait until I'm better at Russian in case I confuse myself. Do you know anyone that learned Ukrainian after Russian?
@siasea_lang2 ай бұрын
@@naturallanguageacquisition yes, both are my native languages. I personally don’t know anyone who learned Ukrainian after Russian. I only know people who learned either of those:) But I agree that you should wait with Ukrainian for a bit. These languages share a lot of similarities and at early stages it might be really confusing to try learning both. However, once you’re at a solid B1-B2 in Russian, it will make it much easier for you to learn Ukrainian 😊
