Finally someone who understands that not everyone has the option to travel to an English speaking country! I, for one, would DIE to do this but I can't afford it :( So it is quite depressing when everyone suggets going to the USA, Uk, etc. when I ask them about what to do to improve my spoken English. Thanks for your advice, Lucy!

I have one tip for you. Choose an English speaking person you like. They might be a host, a journalist, a KZbinr, a royal family member. It doesn't matter as long as they have been recorded multiple times (it could be a podcaster, even). Take one of their speeches and pause them after every sentence trying to repeat it exactly. It isn't fun, perhaps, but it works. It really does.

Feedback is really important. When for the first time I met David Hurst( the british journalist) he was surprised by me british accent. He asked me " have you worked at london?" I answered "No I've never been there." He was just stunned. He asked again " how come you speak british this much good?" I said "through watching movies with british accent." He laughed and couldnt believe it. And I was very happy by seeing this reaction. To be frank, I was thrilled.

This is coming from someone who has experienced a huge development in English skills in just a year. I can relate to most of English learners' struggles as I had gone through them as well. I highly recommend for English learners to take her advice. Try to fully immerse yourself in English everyday and dedicate your time to improve your English skills. You'll see an incremental progress everyday and eventually your efforts will pay off as long as you hold yourself accountable. I still make some grammtical mistakes from time to time but I am generally comfortable with English. I don't worry about not understanding what people say or mispronouncing words anymore. Believe in yourself and stick to your goal ;))

She is the best english teacher❤️❤️.. a small tip from my side. People often tend to forget the new words they learnt and fail to make them a part of their active vocabulary. I suggest in this is, always associate the word with anything that u could remember. It could be anything silly doesn't matter. For instance, I learnt a new word adroit, which means skillful and clever. When I first heard this word, I though of android. So android is a robot who is skillful and clever and does all the work. Hence, whenever I have to recall the word and the meaning of adroit, I remember the word android. You could similarly associate words with anything to remember it. Hope it helps:)
