Hello Lucy! I'm from Argentina and a very common way to say "yes" is "De una". You know a lot of Spanish so I'll give you and example in Spanish for ya: -Querés tomar un helado? -De una (We use "querés" instead of "quieres", which is used in Spain). We use "De una" to express agreement too. Is another common meaning. Great video!! We are waiting for you over here.

For yes, we Americans (USA) also sometimes say, definitely and, especially in the military, affirmative. Conversely, we sometimes say, negative (usually in the military) for no. Also, for yes, absolutely!

Fun fact: In spanish, at least here in Venezuela, young female students use a lot the phrase "¡Eres un sol!" which is basically the spanish version of "You're a star!". I saw it and I was like "Oh, wow, I didn't expect that". PS: I love your videos! I'm actually just trying to improve my vocabulary because I consider myself already on my way to be fluent, but I love to see videos in english to learn new words and your pronunciation is so relaxing. I can say I love the british accent.

Okay, which is being used In Hebrew also, has many alternatives in Hebrew. Every word that is acceptable as a single word answer for "How are you" is actually acceptable as an alternative for Okay in many cases. For example: "How are you? - Great" - "I'll call you back in a minute - Okay/Great". I think that it can work in english as well for some words: fine/great/terrific. And also (which not related to this rule) "no problem".
