Late for the party but I finally learned a trippy spin because of your video 😅 literally took me 10 mins of practicing the exact way you did it and I have it nailed. Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
@photosbyjames_8 ай бұрын
what do you need to add/decrease to climb/reduce the height of the trippy spin?
@greenshirtmetaldetecting8 ай бұрын
@photosbyjames_ reduce the amount of backwards pitch to go up and opposite to go down.
@12packadayhabit5 ай бұрын
@@photosbyjames_ once you're locked in you just have to add or decrease your throttle to climb or descend.

I like how you break it all down into segments to practice. Nice tut. I also agree on the stick cams. I feel it's better to just visualize the angle of rotation needed for the quad vs looking at sticks.

Why am I just now seeing this? These drills are perfect for learning a trippy. Gonna check out your other videos. Definitely think the idea of creating "drills" to practice is a great way to learn.

This is a tough one, definitely the hardest thing I've tried to learn to this point. Still trying to get it in the sim before I even attempt it IRL. I definitely agree with your point about stick overlays. In the beginning they were quite helpful. But with these harder tricks not so much. Being able to picture what the quad is supposed to be doing makes it easier to understand.

Thanks for watching, take your time with each step and you'll get em locked sooner than you think.

I like your approach with respect to stick cam cause, yes, it's difficult to watch that but you also want to watch what the quad is doing at the same time. Showing once what's done with the sticks then after that getting the feel is an awesome way to learn👍🏻

my biggest probleim is altitude controller... How do you control it? Any tips? I would feel so much more at ease it I knew how to gain altitude because then I would be able spend more time trying to get the trippy right.
@12packadayhabit Жыл бұрын
Practicing in the sim helps a lot of course but if you want to practice them in real life and work on throttle control I suggest using at least a 30 degree cam tilt, the lower the tilt the more throttle you'll need. Find a tall object with open space around it like these stadiums lights and practice staying at the highest spot , in my case just under the lights, once you can sustain that spot lower the throttle a tad and move down. I go over this a little bit in the video around the 13:00 minute mark... hope that helps ya out, good luck 👊👊

Dude out here flies his drone like it's on a magical invisible swing. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to figure out how to take off without decapitating a houseplant. The excitement of learning a trick or two changed to disappointment in my own fpv skills, few minutes into the video. 😂 guess I'll keep flying into the trees for now 😅
