Agree. That's why I think movies (or even better, short scenes from movies) and video games are the best way to learn a language remotely, if you don't have direct contact with that language. Specifically with video games, not only you have the visual aid, but also you're engaged with the actions as if you were there, it's as close as you can get to a multisensorial experience that I'maware, specially with VR I've read comments on KZbin and it seems that a lot of peole learnt to speak English with video games

@@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess Yes, indeed! I learned English from science documentaries and movies, and then I got into computers and games, and everything was in English back then, so I had to learn it. Spanish is a little easier for me, as I'm Romanian (our languages are related), but I've learned it from my mom's telenovelas on TV. I understand about 70%, but can't speak or write in Spanish yet.

@jannaswigart4926
@jannaswigart4926 Жыл бұрын
Me estoy enrollando…. Jajaja. Gracias Laura! Tu canal es una maravilla 🎉❤
@spanishafterhours
@spanishafterhours Жыл бұрын
@jannaswigart4926
@jannaswigart4926 Жыл бұрын
@@spanishafterhours exacto! Jajaja…. Pero tu canal nunca me aburre…. Quiero ser tan entretenida como tú!

@@spanishafterhours Laura , I apologize for doing this here but it seemed like the best spot. I don't know if you like your English corrected but, at 0:03 in your video you say " if you haven't been here" . Technically this would be "if you haven't ever been here" or " If you haven't been here before " or even " If you haven't ever been here before " but at least to me , to say " If you haven't been here" sounds non English Speaker . Another good variation is " If You have never been here--but even then you should add "before" at the end . Ciao ! OOPS !! I just noticed your (before) text correction ! hahahah so cool! kind regards to your girlfriend! :) well it depends on how much you want to focus on learning, the beginner videos should ideally be watched with spanish subs or no subs, but if you watch a more complicated video or you are too tired to think and want to use the subs, then use them on the first watch, and then come again and watch it with spanish subs, see how that goes!

I actually have no idea bc I never had to choose one 😅😅 so I have never been in that position, but from my point of view (which may be an ignorant one) at first choosing a dialect should be the least of your worries -- Learn lots of vocabulary and get lots of input, and then see if you are more interested in a particular dialect bc you want to move there or sth, that would be my advice
