Sound effects should not have exclamation points, because they're sounds, and therefore cannot be exclaimed. It's the first sign of amateur lettering (besides the crossbar I's).

I haven't seen that one before, but makes sense! I suppose it could be personal preference, though. Improper crossbar I's, however, are unforgivable.
